Strong aroma of cheese wafted in the air the moment we were led into a semi booth spacious enough for three. Quite a few tables around us were having the cheese fondue but we are not huge cheese fondue fans so we opted for other regular dishes. The place is like a very traditional decorated Swiss chalet with dark wooden panels and pillars, exuding s warm, cosy home feeling. Absolutely amazing lunch. We ordered the original Wiener Schinitzel with pasta and French pommes. The taste was heaven on earth! The meat is soft and the outside is crispy. The waiter was very friendly and cooked the carving where we can see it. They introduced the meat before they cook! They also refilled our fries and noodles, especially when we were almost finished and we had more meat! We also had dessert and for a simple coffee, it includes toblerone and cream! The food was pretty good standard fare. The ambiance is really lovely and definitely matches the prices--even by Swiss standards it's expensive. The server was rude and openly mocked us as we were taking some photos to share with my mother (she wants to know I'm eating well! , and, perhaps ironically, to share here. I'd stop by again to sit out front and enjoy a beer, but wouldn't recommend it otherwise.
The food at this restaurant was absolutely amazing. The fondue was an amazing start to a wonderful meal. The Wiener schnitzel and spaetzel was absolutely delicious. I don't think we will ever eat schnitzel and spaetzel like that again - unless we find our way back to Basel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Hands down one of my favorite restaurants.

RESTAURANT WALLISER BASEL バイツェンビール２杯とラクレットで39.5CHF、￥4,500以上します。スイスの物価は高い！を思い知らされましたが、美味しい！言う事ありません。場所もトラムの駅から近く便利です。GooGleMapでも検索可能です。少し気を付けたいのはクレジットカードの事です。大体のカードは使用可能ですが、ダイナースのみ使えませんのでカード払いの際はご注意ください。私は平日の1830頃入店しましたが、お客さんは数組のみでガラガラに空いていました。これだと予約の必要は無し。ラクレのみの食でしたが、満足度は極めて高く気兼ねいらずなレストランでお勧めです。
Wir haben zu dritt an einem Tisch draussen gesessen.Leider mussten wir jeweils relativ lange auf den Service warten. Das Essen an sich war aber gut, da gab es nichts zu meckern. Typische schweizer Kost.Na ja, und das die Schweiz hochpreisig ist sollte bekannt sein.

È davvero un ottimo ristoranti con tanti piatti molto buoni.Il personale e molto gentile. Vi consiglio di provare la fundue al formaggio perché è molto buona. Lo consiglio a tutti.
The food was butter fat and the personal was stressed and unfrendly! At the end of dining the bill was expensive: 525 chf for 4 people!!!!! No way !!!!!
