Located in Walsh Bay, next to the Roslyn Packer theatre, Walsh Bay Kitchen is convenient if you 're heading to see a theatre production next door. It 's a huge space accomodating lots of guests and you can sit indoors or out. A stylish bar and dimly lit lights, it has a nice buzzing ambience about it. Staff were extremely friendly, and service was prompt. I had an apple cocktail which I quite liked. I had a sauvignon blanc, the house one. I think next time I would order a pricier one. We were in a group sampling the Sydney Festival menu where you get a glass of wine and two courses. I had the arancini 4 pieces with a nicely crunchy outside and a dense, cheeses filling. I personally quite lik...

Went there on friend 's recommendation, It was a night with ' 'no show ' ' meaning that the restaurant wasn 't as full as it is usually because the Roselyn Packer Theatre didn 't have any representation at the time. The restaurant had a very nice cosy/comfy vibe, we were warmly welcomed and decided to sit outside. My friend and I order the 2 course formula, and decided to start with a cocktail (the green room and an expresso martini, both fantastic! while waiting for the food. I had the Pork, tender and tasty and my friend had the Salmon, fresh and flavoursome. the dessert were great, the originality to it was the gluten free chocolate cake, not that we needed it but we found quite rare to h...

This place has great ambience and knows how to get orders cookec quickly for hungry theatre goers who are on a tight deadline. The service is friendly and the food is fine.<br/ <br/ I tried the duck which was supposed to be their signature main and, while it was well cooked, there wasn't much flavour. My friends thought the lamb was delicious but the barramundi was also lacking in flavour.<br/ <br/ Desserts were good but the chocolate slice was very rich and even I (a huge dessert eater) couldn't finish it. Everything was well presented but a little more oomph in the taste department needed.

Had a lovely pre-theatre meal here. We decided on sharing and ordered 2 entrees, the lemongrass pumpkin rice balls and salt pepper style squid and 1 main, the barbeque pork prawn fried rice. The serving was perfect for two to share and it came really quickly. The rice balls were full of flavour and the squid was cooked to perfection. There wasn't a whole lot of flavour to the fried rice but it was a good side dish to compliment the others. We loved our cocktails and coffee too! Réservez une table maintenant

I’m surprised to find Braised Mushrooms Bibimbap $24) on the menu at Walsh Bay Kitchen. With charred vegetables, pine nuts, brown rice and abundant slippery oyster mushrooms, it’s a bibimbap that warrants being eaten piecemeal, rather than mixed.Closer investigation, and a conversation with Korean Head Chef Kay Hwang, who last cooked at the Botanic Gardens, steers me towards his “very twisted” Jasmine Tea Smoked Duck $31), which re-imagines kalbi beef rib marinade as a sauce

Walsh Bay Kitchen is a restaurant and bar in the Rocks. Our group ordered from the pre theatre menu before a Sydney Theatre Co production. The food was sophisticated, delicious and beautifully presented (see photos). Their service was quite fast as well, which is appreciated when on a timeline!

Absolutely loved it! Almost exclusive use of the restaurant due to no show  and very well looked after. The pork was definitely a hit and the affogato was yummy, even more if you add a sneaky shot of frangelico!

I can't comment on food because we only had drinks but the staff were incredible. So attentive and friendly. Drinks choices were minimal bit fine. In all, it was a decent experience. Réservez une table maintenant
