Walter's grilled hot dogs are quite tasty. They have a specific style, which is cut in half lengthwise and grilled (on a flat grill) almost until they have a bark on the outside of the sausage. They are served in a grilled buttered bun. The grilled style is not my personal favorite but they execute it well and the result is undeniably delicious. Load it up with your choice of condiments, which for me is simply ketchup and mustard. Hot dog aficionados would not approve of my choice, but there it is. Walter's is definitely worth a visit.
Hot Dogs are unlike any other I’ve had. The quality is top notch and fresh. While picking up your order the staff can be a little rude otherwise the the outdoor dining experience is pretty cool. There is no indoor dining. The establishment offers a variety of sides which are really good; curly or regular French fries. The establishment also prepares milkshakes, which are incredibly good. This community staple is highly recommended. Don’t allow the rude cashier ruin what could be the best experience ever.
Excellent split, cut side grilled, hot dogs. Not too salty or oily Prep is simple, not many choices, and the must is the house speciality, although it was not so pronounced to my taste. Old styled cream soda and curly pommes were both excellent. The place was very quiet in winter, but has a large outdoor seating area. I'm sure the locals want to keep this jewel secret, but don't leave it!
It was my first experience with these hot dogs and they were worth the experience. It has an ambience that is not above the top while it is called a national treasure. Also the curly pommes were excellent. So if you are ready to get something you can have an experience, then visit Walters especially if you are in the Westchester area.

Walters is a legendary landmark in my hometown. I'm still returning when I can, and their hot dogs stay the best I ever tasted. Best bet: Order a double dog, of course with her must. Get some curly fries to go with it. They have upgraded over the years, as with the picnic tables back, but the food remains as consistent as ever.
Tonight's pigs in a blanket at Walters Hot Dogs were unexpectedly light and delicious. I also tried a banana shake, which was also delicious. I will definitely order them again. Thank you, Walters Hot Dogs.

You can't make a wrong choice with any of the menu items at this restaurant. Everything is fresh, hot, and delicious.

The hot dog on the pretzel bun was delicious and the fries were amazing. I would definitely order from here again!
The cocktail franks were delicious as always. I did not receive my soda.
