The Wassermühle (water mill) in Wardenburg, is popular with locals, families and groups. Located on the cycle wheel route around Oldenburg, it is also a great stop for cyclists, though it lacks safe cycle parking. The Mill’s weekend brunches are popular and it is a good destination for lunch, afternoon teas and dinner. For an early Sunday supper in early October we were happy to still be served at one of their tables outdoors by the mill pond, for which their friendly and apparently well trained staff brought us blankets as the night progressed. The water mill in Wardenburg is a beautiful café and restaurant. The outdoor area is very nice and especially in summer a great place to relax from a bike tour and eat delicious. Today's Advent breakfast was not worth his money. They realized that the restaurant was completely crowded. Every corner was occupied. This has not occurred in the space requirement, but in the fitting of the buffet. Too many guests were accepted for the buffet. The operation came with the refill and no longer replenish. Friends took is to this place to show us what a German Brunch experience is all about. They could not have found a better place. We are outside next to a stream. Most folks day inside in relative elegance, but we prefer being outside. But where you sit makes no difference to the food. It was excellent! German bread is second to none. Cheese, meat, veggies, and coffee were in abundance. Many other selections as well. I hope to return here again.
Very idyllic garden restaurant located on the water wheel of the mill with very many tables with beautiful views. Large parking lot at the Mühlbach. super brunch buffet, but the wild meat and the bark routine was a bit too hot and dry. otherwise the buffet was top! also the service was excellent! super nice and courteous set and a good love he cook! the weather has not played so well today, but also the small park is definitely worth a walk!
