This place was one of my favorite breakfast places for quite a few years. Unfortunately that has changed. The Eggs Benedict came out luke warm and the hollandaise sauce was quite bland. We ordered right away after being seated and it took approximately 30 minutes to get the food. This is understandable as it was busy. However after waiting that long to only have my food come out luke warm and bland was disheartening. On a smaller note the ketchup they use is awful. It was cheap and way too sweet. I'm not sure why they don't use Heinz or another of higher quality but I'm guessing it's a cost factor. The waitress was friendly and provided good service for how busy it was. Went a couple times in the last couple weeks needing some comfort food and everything was just as expected, very comforting! We've always loved this place and that hasn't changed. It's always like Grandma Makes (but better, don't tell her! including those rolls, they are as God intended rolls to be! And like always, attentive service no matter how busy! BTW folks, always tip a higher percentage for when you go out for breakfast anywhere, the meals cost less but the service works just as hard! :
09/04/24 I ordered country fried steak and supposedly get two sides from what the menu said . so when my meal came, what I received was just a plate with one piece of country fried steak on it no vegetables, no potato nothing. For the price, I was very disappointed. I did let the waitress know she was nice enough and brought me one scoop of mashed potatoes very nice of her, but it’s just a thought when you order a meal to get your vegetables and at least a .
Used to be a decent place to get breakfast that was fairly cheap and halfway decent, now the quality has taken a huge blow, after 4 straight terrible meals, I won't be back. I just don't understand why people flock to this place at all hours like it's something special, the food is beyond mediocre.
This place should change the name to a diner, not a cafe/bakery. Overall a very mediocre first visit at best. Ordered eggs over easy/light, eggs were hard/over cooked. Toast was partially burnt. Home fries and bacon were good. Free donut holes were kinda stale. Service was decent. Won’t be back.
