Wir verbrachten 2 Tage und eine Nacht auf der Wedelhütte. Wir hatten die Gipfelstürmer Suite und eine kleine Suite (Zimmer 10) neben an. Die ganze Hütte und vor allem die Zimmer sind noch schöner und geschmackvoller eingerichtet als es auf den Bilder aussieht. Die Gipfelstürmer Suite bietet neben Schlafplätze für bis zu 7 Leuten eine top Sauna, einen großen Whirlpool samt atemberaubendem Blick und eine Infrarot-Kabine. Wir kamen aus dem Staunen nicht mehr raus. Der Ausblick von alle Sonnen- Terrassen ist einfach fabelhaft. Vor allem die kleine windgeschützte Terrasse im 2. Stock ist ein echter Geheimtipp. Das Dinner am Abend war ebenfalls wirklich vom Feinsten. Und die Weinauswahl ist außergewöhnlich gut. Am Wochenende gibt es House Musik von einemlive DJ auf der großen Sonnen-Terrasse. Das ganze Team der Wedelhütte ist super aufmerksam, lieb und sehr lustig. Man fühlt sich gleich wie zu Hause. Die Hütte ist auch im Sommer idealer Ausgangspunkt für einige Wanderungen. Wir kommen definitiv wieder und danken dem Wedelhütten Team für ein wunderbares Wochenende.
We have visited here on many occasions over the last few years and always been pleased, we find it over priced but still return for the view which is why I have gone with Average.However this year we found the staff to be quite rude and actually eventually got up and left to take our business elsewhere after being ignored, there were also many people looking for tables and a huge number of the outside tables not set up which could have easily accomodated them. You know you are a popular restaurant especially on a good day so I do not understand why you would not maximise the number of tables available to your customers and get your staff to show a little care, no-one minds waiting a little while if the staff are busy but to have staff repeatedly walk past and ignore customer is not good.
Second year skiing in Kaltenbach with a group of eight, made sure to eat here again this year. Food is top-notch, albeit service a little slow and disinterested (went at about 1:30 pm to try and beat the lunchtime crush). Will go again next time, food is so very good, especially the existence of vegetables on the plate.
I've just posted a (justified) critical review of the Kristallhutte. From there we went to the Wedelhutte for lunch and what a contrast. Friendly staff welcomed us and helped us to find a great table. The rest just followed, good service, nice food and a great ambience - well done, we will return!!
