every year to the day of the German wine road we spend a few days in Maikammer.This time we stayed here. When we arrived, we were kindly greeted and we were referring to our room. the room is perhaps the only point of criticism. they have come into the years and some rooms (like ours) had the toilet on the floor. I do not want to evaluate the weinstube, but the apartments. the weinstube itself is nicely furnished. in the back of the courtyard you really feel like in a bargain economy. the service is very personal by the chef himself. eating is good, typical specialities, but nothing special. the prices are slightly higher than in the economies of the city, but still quite good.The apartments are very spacious and cosy. it would be nice if a selection of weeping (of course against payment) would be available in the refrigerator, as I know from other wineries. the breakfast was plentiful, though in the corner of the local somewhat narrow, so that you hardly get to all things when it is full. but eating...
we have found this weinstube by coincidence and already the first look into the local has fallen so well that we have spontaneously reserved a table. we were then there for six and everyone was completely satisfied. the portions are so great that you get drunk in every case. the salate was good and fresh, the bratkartoffel very good, the meat of good quality and well prepared and the various wee have tasted well. the service was friendly and attentive. everything in all we liked so well there that we were there again next night for dinner and that was just as good as the evening before. who loves pfälzer specialities and wants to have an appealing environment for this, is really well-resolve...
in the beautiful weinort maikammer an der deutschen weinstrasse, this family-run restaurant is a real secret tip! on the map that offers cold spices, from thorny roast and rumpsteak to saumagen, leberknödel and sourkraut, there is the best of the region to travel cheap. the portions are quite luxuriant and the ingredients do not come out! the drink prices are also low and the wee are all coming from the environment.In the pfälzer style, the card is also written in dialect, which already leads to one or the other. =) the services are nice and the chef also likes to look through the guest rooms.Everything in all, the weinstube kiefer is really worth a stop if someone wants really good regional...

I can only rate the pension, the weinstube we did not visit: the location in the upper area is quiet and yet central, so that you can explore the place nucleus on foot. free parking on the house are available.The interior of the room was more dusty, but was still cozy. minus point: the house is very bright. you can hear any room neighbors coming and going.The breakfast was in order: brot, rolls, cheese, sink, sausage, egg, musli, yoghurt - actually everything you need.Bearing that some rooms only have one floor shower and floor toilet, that you have to share with other rooms.
as every year we were again for a few days ( 6 ) in the guesthouse Kiefer.Man feels very welcome and well revoked.The rooms are simple, but with a lot of love furnished, easy to feel comfortable.The eating is simply recommended, fresh, tasty, typical Palatinate.The prices are for what you get offered, very favorable.You can only recommend this pension and the restaurant further.Leider however there was a owner now for even in the previous restaurant in edenkoben you could eat very well.Remember me already on the next relaxing days in maikammer.
very lovingly designed house with restaurant which is very well occupied until 20.00 h. Unfortunately, everyone suddenly disappears home and one sits almost alone. I didn't know how to behave until then, if guests are satisfied, pity. here is the good peeled kitchen wide where many local foods go. I would have liked to try the germknödel in a wein sauce, but there are only Wednesdays. for that one could sleep very well and inexpensively in a simple facility.
great super-leckeres eating, beautiful ambiente, very friendly service and love wetsleute! the perfect frame for a round birthday! and also small children are very welcome here: for the little ones there is an extra play with beautiful toys. We're happy to come back!

we came around 20 o'clock and were still joyfully served without problems.Grades quality..so a great rumpsteak, fried on the exact grad and so tender!I had band noodles with pfifferlingen, which were also really great. happy again!
