Based on the recommendation we received we were expecting something more than an ordinary Gasthaus. The premises has been a restaurant for over 100 years. We arrived towards the end of the noon hour. I ordered the breaded cutlet and my wife a Zander fillet. Each was accompanied by a yogurt salad and potatoes.Service was relatively quick and the salad was excellent, if typical Gasthaus fare. The two main courses each had the look of ready-prepared food from a restaurant supplier. The cutlet was covered in a uniform mantel of bread crumbs. If you want to have dinner at a typically "fränkische" wine restaurant with excellent kitchen, this is the place to go!We did not have a reservation on a Saturday evening, normally no chance but they were seating on a table with other guests, which was so nice. We met some locals and learned so much about the city, places to go. Nice conversations and lots of great regional Frankonia Wine! Absolutely recommendable, reservation needed during weekends, but be open to meet other guests :-)
We were here for dinner yesterday. Luckily reserved a table. Small snuggly restaurant. No big menu but what we had eaten was excellent. Would go to dinner again but it is really recommended to reserve!!! Service was very friendly. Price performance was also within the framework. Thanks for the great food.

No but fine and: authentic! Was here on a Sunday for lunch. Small, fine card. The fish was great! The steak from Angus-Rind also. And to the point... I'd like to come back.
Definitely worth a visit. This is where the boss cooks himself. The owner personally, with his radiant red cap, has passed us.

Little secret tip in Kissingen. Who wants good and inexpensive food is right here. You should book. Very well visited!
