Local restaurant serving Bavarian meats, gravies and dumpling, red cabbage, sauerkraut, etc. Food is good and plenty. They serve a good beer, including Weissbraeu and Hofbraeu beers. We sat outside in front of the restaurant at a small table near the door. The table we sat at had an annoying fly problem, literally tens of flies attacking our dinners. There were several large tables out in the courtyard that did not seem to have this problem.The service was typically German, somewhat in-attentive with a lack of interest. Not one of the best places we have eaten in the Munich area, but not terrible.
My husband and I each had a delicious dinner tonight at Weissbraeu. Our wonderful waiter, George, spoke English and gave us an English menu off the bat. My husband ordered the duck and I had beef slices with some kind of sauce, roasted potatoes and yummy veggies. We were both more than satisfied. Very big portions. Price was reasonable. It's clear this is a local favorite. It was packed (Friday night). The only drawback was that they freely sit you with other people if they are crowded. That would not be so bad, but it seems that all Germans smoke!!
I was driving and couldn't have a beer, talk about temptation! The platter for two takes some time to prepare but was too much food for four adults and two children. We got out for 50 euros and were absolutely stuffed and the food was tasty and good. Some yellowjackets tried to join the feast which was the only downside to eating outside on a beautiful evening. Parking was pretty easy on the street nearby - this restaurant is at the edge of a pedestrian zone
If you know the location you know when its good to visit the restaurant.They have typical Bavarian dishes which are mostly excellent. Prices are OK some dishes are quite cheap others are too expensive for my taste. The drinks are also Bavarian, so it's beer The atmosphere is marvellous good decorations, table etc. Etc. Etc. Everything is clean and quite organized You can try it. Réservez une table maintenant
And has great atmosphere, food and service. A little hard to find, but worth the effort. I should have put the address on my phone. It certainly must be popular for the outdoor tables were swamped. Managed to get a table and our food arrived timely given the crowd. Menus available in English if you need. Coudn't have been more pleased, but I save my 5's for something heavenly.
Went here for food and weiss beer on a flying visit. It was rammed on a Wednesday evening but they found us a couple of seats and the beer was quickly poured! The atmosphere here is great, noisy when it's full but everyone is enjoying themselves. The staff are on hand and very helpful. Tolerant of faltering german!! Prices are very reasonable and the beer is fantastic.
Great beer garden with excellent beer. I had a pint of the Helles (lager). The food was just OK. I had the mushroom omelette on special. Would have been better to stick to a salad. The place was full on a Tuesday evening, so seems popular and understandably so. Would recommend at least for a beer. Might want to have dinner elsewhere.
Colleagues ordered King Ludwig pot - says it's for Two to share but you can feed more than 2 people. Food is very flavorful. I had the pork loin and spatzel and liver dumpling soup. Both very good. I had wanted to also order the potato salad with fried egg on the top - maybe next time Réservez une table maintenant
