We chose this restaurant primarily because it was close to our hotel, and were not disappointed! Never having tasted Swiss cuisine, we did not know what to expect and were pleasantly surprised by the flavorful dishes. My husband opted for the Weinerschnitzel, and I had...roast beef in a red wine sauce with mashed potatoes and carrots. For dessert, we shared an apple strudel in vanilla bean sauce. Each bite was delicious! There was an extensive beer and wine list. There was only one server for a crowded dining room, which made service slower than it should have been. The atmosphere was charming. Prices were reasonable by Zurich standards. Our bill for dinner for two, dessert, beer and coffee...
the white wind, or the zunftstube white wind, looks in decor for decades equally charming. the time seems stopped, the cozyness of quieter time floats through the rooms. the first impression, always the friendly warm welcome. as we arrived early for dinner, we were immediately served very attentively. eating, honestly and carefully prepared, the roasted are a safe tip, even the egliknusperli with salat were excellent. we were served by a large grown very friendly waiter and felt very welcome. we hope this charming local one more century will remain unchanged.
jag hamnade här rätt sent en måndagskväll för middag och då var det inte speciellt mycket folk. restaurangen är väldigt enkelt och rustikt inredd. det känns verkligen som en traditional restaurang. inget tjafs liksom! maten är främst traditional schweizisk, så det är mycket kött på menyn. jag kommer inte ihåg exact vad jag beställde men det var en kötträtt. portionen var inte jättestor men lagom för mig och utsökt. servicen var utmärkt. maten, servicen och den enkla, rustika inredningen kan inte ge restaurangn något annat betyg än utmärkt.
We’ve eaten in this establishment several times already, and they never disappoint. We at least order a Wienerschnitzel each time, especially when taking along guests from abroad. Service personnel are friendly and efficient too. It was almost always full whether we went there on a...weekday or a weekend, so if you’re more than two people dining, check in advance.

We were a group of 10 men all very hungry for dinner. It took quite a while until the finally came up with the food. But the quality was really good and the prices moderate (at least for Zurich). We learned, that the delay was...caused by the fact, that it was the opening day the team worked together for the very first time. Considering this, it was a great job.
one of the oldest bred zürichs and notable vereines have their trunk in the white wind. a mixed publikum as usual hardly applicable here bratwurst with rösti or a deftigen salat. repainting every couple of years and leaving everything old - what more does it take? no chi-chi, honest beiz in the best sense.
Quiet atmosphere, well presented and tasty dishes, pleasant staff. From a small street located restaurant it was a kind of unexpected... Nice one!
very hospitable service super good eating with reasonable price. the choice in the menu is in a good size so that everyone finds something.
