We will not be going again. We ordered one starter and two Sunday roasts for all the food to come together. My partner received their starter and main while I wait 10 mins for mine. The food in itself was basic, the broccoli was very over cooked and browned. The stuffing was a large ball of mush, not pleasant. The venue was dirty with cobwebs in many places, dead flies along the window sill on the inside, it the outdoor area a shattered mirror in a dangerous hazard and the toilets were not pleasant and the toilet seat was broken. Judging by the reviews I was expecting better, but was very disappointed.
I went to preston for one night. The Wellington was the first pub I stumbled across at 5 pm after checking in the hotel, and we never left. Honestly the banter was great, the pumps are clean, music we knew every tune, the staff were hilarious! It’s a little gem this! One not to be missed We didn’t try the food I’m not even sure if they do any but the customer service, and the welcome was amazing! I was only there one night but we’re planning to go back for new year they’re all great
Great all round pub, food and a top owner! I accidently left my jacket after the England game. Andy Mac (owner) managed to locate it on the cctv camera inside, tracked who took it and with the help of Facebook got the guy who picked it up to transfer me the value of the jacket back as he lost it. (All of this within a day). Thanks again for your help, absolute legend.
Before pubs opened inside the atmosphere outside was great. However, standards have slipped when the bars opened inside and the atmosphere became dead. The standards of the food had declined. However, the manager was very welcoming and when we told her about a blip in the quality she offered a free pitcher each.

Absolutely filthy pub... We even had small fly/flea things crawling on the table. We managed about 1/4 of our pints before we left. I dread to think what sort of a state the place would be in when running at full capacity and can't imagine who on earth would want to eat food in there.
Belated thanks to Sarah and team at The Welly. Not a thing to pick up on, from the greeting to the great beer and food. No waiting for either. Super efficient system and felt covid safe . Would highly recommend on what we witnessed and will definitely be back soon.
The place was empty this should of been a sign to me.. chewy beef- inedible in fact. Nothing green.. bisto gravy ..shocking! They even managed to get 1 of the 3 orders wrong. The girls where pleasant and I like the interior but avoid if you like good food

ordered the buffalo chicken and halloumi fries they were amazing definitely coming back. the drinks were reasonably priced too.
