We have been to Wellington multiple times and never had a bad experience. Yesterday was a different story poor Jordan who was very friendly was overwhelmed because the room was full and she was the only waitress and she was also the hostess so we understand why she was so busy. Our appetizer was overly salty the fried artichoke hearts the meals came out at four separate times my plate of $42 sirloin steak was cold when I complained she took it back and brought it back lukewarm I couldn't even eat it they did take it off the bill though. The food was undercooked; service was poor not because the staff didn't try but because they were understaffed to deal with full tables throughout the restaurant. The arms of the chairs were worn through and the floors were filthy. This restaurant had positive reviews and that's why we came but there are too many other restaurants from which to choose. We won't go back.
When a chef has to use excessive amounts of salt for flavor thats not good. The salmon was overcooked, the truffle mashed potatoes were too salty. However, the lamb ragu, brussel sprout appetizer and spinach beet and berry salad were delicious! The waitress was amazing considering she was the only one waiting on all the tables.
Recently had pre-show dinner at Wellington's and staff was very helpful to get us out in what was only an hour and 15 minute dining window. Food and drinks both good but had the roast chicken for first time and thought it was perfect simple Sunday type dinner and well spiced (chicken can be plain in many dishes)
