On Saturday, March 16, around 3:30 PM, I visited the drive-thru to order the $1 burger promo, but since I didn't use the app, I opted for the $5 Biggie Bag instead. I also requested a large cup of ice. At the checkout, I handed my debit card to the cashier, and he gave me my soda first. When I asked about my ice, he did have it but needed a reminder.
I paid for my meal, but unfortunately, he didn't provide me with a receipt before I left. I instinctively asked for one, feeling it was necessary. As a first-time visitor, I was absolutely impressed! I tried the spicy jalapeño chicken sandwich, and it was fantastic. It had just the right amount of heat, with fresh jalapeños that I loved. At around $6.50, it was definitely worth it. I’m not really a fan of fries or drinks, so I didn’t order any. I also noticed that there was no service inside the restaurant; I had to wait in a long drive-thru line to place my order, which took about 10-15 minutes. However, once I ordered, my food was ready in just 1-2 minutes. I wish there had been an option to order directly inside the restaurant. Overall, the food was delicious!
I visited for a double Dave's and a large chili (I'm a big fan of Wendy's chili). The food was great, but the service left a lot to be desired. It seems like they prioritize their drive-thru customers over those dining in. What really frustrated me was when I asked for a cup for tap water or some ice for my hot chili. I was told I would be charged for the cup, which is just absurd—I've never encountered that at other fast food places. Despite this, I still love the chili, but I have to keep my expectations for service pretty low.
Everything was great at the Wendy's in South Plainfield. Although the drive-thru line was long, it was moving quite quickly, so we decided to go inside instead. Our order was taken promptly, and we were in and out in no time. We weren't asked multiple times about our order; everything was clear and efficiently repeated. Plus, the place was clean!

It's a Wendy's, but I have to say that the staff here is more attractive than at other Wendy's locations I've visited. I couldn't resist trying the limited-time Bacon Bourbon Burger, and it had a wonderfully rich flavor. The drive-thru service was also impressively quick.
It's a lovely restaurant with a great view. Just be aware that some staff members can occasionally be unapproachable and act as if they're in charge. If you can steer clear of them, you'll have a much better experience at Dave's!
This is a fantastic spot for a fast food restaurant. The staff is always very friendly, and my dad and I love to grab our coffee there during the week. On Sunday mornings, we enjoy our favorite breakfast there.
Excellent fish sandwich, quality is consistent! Just ask for extra tart sauce if you like it. You're not too generous with it.
