I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant today, and I was thoroughly impressed! I ordered a steak with pimento cheese sauce, and it was exceptional! The creamy white cheese sauce complemented the perfectly thin steak wonderfully. My wife chose the chicken with chipotle cheese sauce, and it was equally amazing. The portion sizes were generous for both dishes, and the bread was outstanding! All in all, it was a fantastic lunch experience.
I was quite disappointed when I was informed that they couldn't toast my bread and were unwilling to make any special accommodations. As a businessman, I find it frustrating that a restaurant would deny a simple request like toasted bread due to company policy. The food itself was average, and the bread ended up soggy since they wouldn't toast it. I suppose I'll be returning to Philly's Best from now on.
The cheesesteak was decent, but the execution left much to be desired. The meat and bread were good, but it seemed like the onions were burned, which completely affected the flavor of the sandwich. I couldn't finish mine. I also tried the poblano cheese sauce; while the taste was alright, it wasn't anything special. Unfortunately, the appearance of the sauce was a downside as it was quite clumpy.
I consistently have an amazing experience at this restaurant! The service is exceptional, and the food is absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is serene and welcoming, and the establishment is spotlessly clean. Every item on the menu is a must-try! I can't recommend West Coast Cheesesteaks enough! Their cheesesteaks are among the best in the industry, if not the very best. The flavor and quality of the meat really distinguish them from others. Additionally, the customer service is exceptional. And be sure to try their tater tots and onion rings—they're absolutely amazing!
The sandwiches are fantastic and quite large, making them perfect for sharing (which is saying a lot since I usually prefer not to share my food). The onion rings are also incredibly delicious!
