Westerfield's At The Orwell

Terrible experience today at the hotel, unfortunately. Have had positive experiences previously but our recent stay it has been a literal nightmare. Upon initial check in I was approached by a clearly drunk bar staff member who made inappropriate comments about female guests nearby. The room was not clean, bed uncomfortable so we decided to move to the Premier Inn. The request to reduce the stay was within the terms of my booking but the property refused the change leading us to have to raise this with the duty manager Adam, upon speaking with him he became aggressive, I would not recommend this hotel, Premier Inn or Fludyers would be ideal. The dinner was outstanding, but the breakfast was rather average. Unfortunately, the lift was out of service for two of the three days we were there. However, the receptionist did assist us with carrying our bags down the stairs when we checked out. The room temperature was uncomfortably warm. On a positive note, parking was convenient, and the hotel is within a short walking distance to shops and restaurants. Overall, I would rate the rooms a 2, the service a 2, and the location a 3.

I had a terrible experience with the service at this hotel. I attempted to book a Christmas party and was informed that it was fully booked, even though their website indicated that tickets were still available for purchase. During my conversation with the events organizer, my call was abruptly disconnected. I tried calling back multiple times but either received no answer or my calls were rejected. Overall, the customer service was very disappointing. Rating: 1/5.

Traditional hotel. Very friendly staff. Plenty of car parking space. Our room was one of the suites and it was huge with a lovely, comfortable bed, dressing table, TV, tea/coffee/hot chocolate making facilities. The en suite bathroom was huge as well with his her sinks, toilet, shower and free standing bath. All perfectly clean. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Réservez une table maintenant

Room was in a state, stains on the walls and bed. 6 moths flying around my room for some reason. And to top it off, my toilet was broken. Will never stay again. Rooms: 1 Service: 2 Location: 3
