Well where do I start…. My wedding meal was here at the Weston Tavern with our family and friends. And our food was absolutely delicious. We were made to feel so welcome, as were our guests. Nothing was of any trouble and every guest who ate a meal with us commented on how lovely the meal was. The lentil soup was delicious, turkey dinner perfect and sticky toffee pudding…. Wow. The service and hospitality was second to none and I can’t wait to dine here again very soon. After hearing great reviews about this restaurant, I decided to stop by for lunch. The bartender was friendly, knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor. The menu had a good variety of options to choose from. However, I was disappointed that the restaurant was cold despite having a beautiful fire. The cleanliness of the place left something to be desired, as the floor behind the bar was dirty and the tables and menus were a bit grungy. The food was tasty, but unfortunately, I found Brussels sprouts in my mixed sizzler, which reminded me of leftover New Year's dinners being used up. Overall, I probably won't be returning.

The veggie burger we ordered was essentially a potato croquette in a bun with salad. It was quite mushy and we had to eat it with a knife and fork. Surprisingly, it cost £16.45. The macaroni dish came with a small side of bread and cost £17.65. The portion size was small and the food smelled like it needed a good clean. We were recommended this place by friends and traveled to visit, but the experience with these expensive and underwhelming mains, including a steak pie, and a soda water costing a total of £56, has left us disappointed and we do not plan on returning.

We recently revisited the Western Tavern in Kilmaurs for a family gathering. Despite a mix up in the booking, there was a lack of communication that we were bringing our dog along our fault) the staff rearranged the setting to accommodate our party of nine. The service was great as was what we had on our plates. I had the salmon and it along with the vegies was scrumptious ! Yes, we will return here Réservez une table maintenant

Unbelievable. We went for Festive Lunch as a work team. The food is absolutely exquisite, the portion size generous and the staff and ambience delightful. This really is an absolute Scottish gem and you would be an idiot to drive past without stopping in. We could not have been happier upon leaving.

Yummy . I had the large nacho with chilli . It was a small portion but was delicious, dare to think what large was like. My Dad had a sirloin steak with the chips cooked a few times with peppercorn sauce , haven't seen him clear a plate since my Mum's cooking. Yum

The dining experience at this restaurant is consistently fantastic, with exceptional service. The atmosphere is always delightful, and Doss, a sweet and well-behaved girl, regularly visited our table for pats and affection.

Arrived today to be welcomed by friendly bar staff, ordered sizzler as it was a Thursday and was actually only half price too, got a pint of tennents , was potentially best pint in ayrshire. Will be back 100 Réservez une table maintenant

Visited recently with my wife and kids. Food was incredible, Staff friendly and pleasant also interacting with the kids. Sticky toffee pudding went down a treat all round. Will be back soon

Great find. Good choice of food and cask beers. They usually have great deals during the week like 50% off mains or free dessert. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. Will return
