Called in last week with a mate for a takeaway each . Both went for fish and chips in a tray . Sounds simple ! Not for this shower it wasn’t . My fish came battered but literally looked the shade of a small lobster !! My mate ended up with two pieces of battered fish . He couldn’t be bothered to say anything but I said I just wanted a haddock fillet . A minute later it was replaced with a fillet . Looks like they just serve the rubbish in the take away . Chips were cold and scrappy and both our fish were soggy and absolutely tasteless . The woman serving wasn’t interested in doing her job and the fryer needs sacking serving that utter utter rubbish . I have been to this restaurant more times than I care to admit, but I had to write this review after my most recent visit. The experience from the moment we walked in to when we left, including the food, service, and atmosphere, was superb. It was impressive to be able to walk in without a reservation on a Sunday evening, get seated, order, and be served all within 10 minutes. As always, the fish and chips were freshly cooked and delicious, accompanied by all the sides. The warm cherry sundae was a delightful end to the meal. The live pianist added to the ambiance and entertained us throughout our dining experience.

I went for lunch with 2 senior friends, I ordered regular haddock and chips, my friends ordered the senior menu. I can not believe the portion size I received for my £15, it was a child’s portion!!!! on a childs size plate, I had exactly 12 chips? My senior friends portions were twice the size of mine, also , tea, bread and butter is now to pay for extra. I have never been out for fish and chips and come away not being full. Please do not waste your money or time going here, Murgatroyds is 100% nicer.

I have fond memories of this restaurant when it used to be Harry Ramsden's, so it was a joy to come back for an early dinner with my parents. The pianist was playing, the staff were attentive and took great care of my mother, who uses a wheelchair. The clean toilets were a big plus! I enjoyed some delicious fish and chips, without batter, paired with a salad. I noticed many other patrons with disabilities, and it was clear that everyone felt comfortable and well taken care of by the courteous staff. Réservez une table maintenant

Was not impressed. The quality and service do not reflect the prices. Two fish and chips with 2 soft drinks £45. Didn't taste very nice. Restaurant was run down inside and grubby feel. I prefer Bannys in Colne. Much better service and value for money.

Delicious afternoon outing today on the way back from an early walk in the dales. Ordered 2 large haddock’s both with peas and tea. Just what the doctor ordered. Beautiful white fish and lovely crispy batter. Staff very attentive and welcoming.

Overall the food was ok service was good but if your going to charge for bread and butter at least use fresh decent bread,mine had obviously been out of the packet for a while as it was hard and tasteless

The restaurant was absolutely fantastic. The food and service were fabulous. The only small issue was that bread and butter with tea should be included. Other than that, everything was great. Réservez une table maintenant
