found this small hotel/bar/restraunt through Google search when my pre-booked choice had left me down. only very late at the day of arrival contacted, fortunately they had available space for 2x double rooms. the personal could not have been more helpful. kitchen only open to order food unit 20:30, but eating was really well prepared and menu reasonably wide. the bar closes at 22:00 and there are no employees after that. breakfast not included in the room rate and only available from 09:30 clock. We stayed here for two nights having booked in January. There were a few emails backwards and forwards before we arrived as there have been some changes it seems at the venue. The restaurant is actually fully closed but they do serve breakfast and there is a bar area but the hours it keeps are unclear. David who greeted us was a decent guy but he told that he was also leaving. The rooms are OK, but tired and a little old fashioned. We paid a lot of money for not a lot of service or facilities. My partner and I dined at the Wharf House on both Friday and Saturday evening during our stay. It was evident that the restaurant put a great deal of thought and effort into the preparation and presentation of their dishes. Everything we tried was of excellent quality. While the prices were a bit on the higher side, I believe the extra cost was worth it for the delicious meals we enjoyed. The only minor drawback we noticed was that the entrance path was not adequately lit, which could pose a challenge for wheelchair users arriving in the evening.
Not everything can go well all of the time and what separates the good businesses from the bad ones is how clients are looked after when things don’t go to plan. Something wasn’t right last night (the detail doesn’t matter) and the way the manager looked after us as well beyond the call of duty. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable hotel with great food and exceptional service

We booked the restaurant for a private party for 40 friends and family and had a wonderful experience The team were well organised and handled the service brilliantly. Drinks, canapés, 3 course lunch, coffee and petit fours all delicious and beautifully presented. Most of the guests hadn’t been here before and will definitely be coming back, Well done to the team, it was a fabulous day.
had a nice 2 nights, we had booked about a booking website as we did not realize that the bar and restaurant are closed on a Monday and Tuesday. Nevertheless we had a nice time and had a nice breakfast before we went on Wednesday morning. good back for another break to taste the best and restaurant
The 9-course tasting menu was excellent. The standout were the delicious desserts. The wine selection was impressive, and the friendly host helped us choose some great wines. It was a lovely and relaxed evening with friends in beautiful surroundings. We had a great time.
a small hotel with separate restaurant in a quiet opposite to the river severn and hereford gloucester channel. very comfortable, clean room. all staff very friendly and helpful, nothing too much for them to make sure they have a great stay.

eat in the space. first visit and will definitely go back. the staff was very friendly and the eating was amazing. that was also a reasonable price.
This restaurant always comes through with great service and delicious food, with a fun selection of gins to kick off the evening.
