I'm honestly quite disappointed with my recent experience. The last two times I visited Whataburger, although the wait was long, the food was worth it. However, today the wait was long as well (which I understand, given the holiday), but the food was just not good. The fries were cold, soggy, and had an unpleasant oil taste. Although my order indicated that I requested two sauces (for which I was charged an extra $1), only one sauce was included— and it looked unappetizing. The chicken was extremely dry, likely due to the lack of sauce, and it was cold as well. I spent over $20 for two meals that both had bad fries, mediocre chicken, and unappetizing sauces. I recently started the keto diet, which meant I couldn't indulge in one of my favorite fast food meals: the sweet and spicy bacon burger. Today, I had a strong craving for it, so I asked my husband to see if they could serve the burger on a salad instead, with ranch dressing on the side. They did! The presentation was beautiful, and it tasted amazing. Kudos to the team, and thank you!
I know there was a fundraiser on April 8th, but the line and wait time were incredibly long. We waited 30 minutes for our food, and it still wasn’t ready when he got home. I really love the food, and the staff were friendly, but they need to improve their service when it gets busy.
