Wheat Rye - Réservation de table

We sat there for 15 minutes without even anyone coming to take our drink orders, let alone our food orders. It was a tremendous disappointment, as I had always looked forward to dining here. I've traveled to six continents and over 90 countries, and this has been my top choice. I felt embarrassed in front of my family. The menus were old and tattered, with selections crossed out using a Sharpie, and the floors were dirty. No one greeted us when we entered; we were just left standing by the door. It was hard to tell who was working there, as the only server we saw was at the bar, enjoying a large drink. I asked the bartender if we should seat ourselves, and the server at the bar surprisingly...

The portions at this restaurant are incredibly generous, and fortunately, my dining companion and I decided to share them, which allowed us to split the bill and make an effort to finish everything. However, there were a few things that detracted from the experience. The music played was so loud that it made it hard to have a conversation; we found ourselves straining to hear one another. Additionally, the air conditioning was overly cold, creating an uncomfortable chill in the room. It would be wonderful if management could lower the music volume and adjust the temperature for a more enjoyable dining atmosphere.

I decided to grab The Steak Fajitas, but let me tell you, they were pretty much a letdown. Zero seasoning, and the meat was bland as can be. As for the server? Yeah, I can’t even remember her name, and she didn’t bother to introduce herself. I had to pry it out of her, which is kind of a red flag. Drinks were nothing to write home about. I went for a Jack & Ginger Ale, but honestly, it tasted like whatever whiskey they had lying around. Honestly, I probably won’t be back. It felt like the staff couldn’t care less about serving customers or even answering questions. Not the vibe I was looking for.

After having a waitress who seemed more interested in socializing with friends and going on smoke breaks. We received semi-cold food. While the proportions were large the bun was stale. Sadly this took away from enjoying the meal. The fries were okay at least. The atmosphere was typical bar scene, we were unfortunately near the games. A younger child was being fed money to continually lose at the dart board. A few landed on our table. I don't think we'll be heading back anytime soon. Réservez une table maintenant

Took my daughter here for her birthday dinner. Waitress was horrible! She took forever to bring our drinks, when she would remember to bring them. Asked for ice water. Was brought warm bottles of water with no ice. Then was charged for the water. Prices on the menu are not correct. Also has human hair on one of our pickles. Other then the hair, food was good. They also don't have high chairs or booster seats for young children

Every time we fly out of Detroit, we go to the W&R!!!! The food is amazing and ridiculously plentiful, the beer is cold, and the whole bill is so cheap! Sarah took great care of us tonight, as always, great food and service. I have to admit, I was super sad they ran out of the Cajun beef tips,hopefully next time, because we certainly will be back!

I've been to other wheat and rye's and mainly I enjoy anything related to steaks. However, here the only real options are sandwiches and well, not such a big fan..I tried the Reuben and it was plain good. Nothing magic. Attention is excellent, that's for sure. And the environment is also pretty cool.

If you are wanting Applebee's, Red Robin, Chili's or any other chain restaurant, don't come here. If you want your servers to remember your name, wear a name tag. This is a BAR grille, and is exactly what is advertised. Good vibes, good food, weird smells, good music and fun. Réservez une table maintenant

Expect HUGE portions... the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars on food. Friendly staff and food was typical bar and grill variety. The grilled cheese was the size of TWO... AND 5 X 10 ! No chips only fries and they're an add on.

My family and I love my experience at thus restaurant. The food was great service was great. It's clean restrooms are clean. Outdoor eating area and bar. The portion size is huge so bring your appetite. Will be returning.
