I had previously recommended The Wheel to my sister, who visited twice with my young niece, even enduring a 45-minute wait for a grilled cheese sandwich. I hoped those were just isolated incidents. I’m usually understanding and believe in giving second chances, but things only seemed to get worse from there. We love wheels for a different take on lunch. this was our first visit to the tamaqua location and it is just as unique as the Pottsville one , which unfortunately is no longer . It has plenty of seating, lots of drink options and of course the delicious grilled sandwiches with homemade chips. Our hostess and waitress for the afternoon “ crystal “ was friendly and just a sweet person. When our sandwiches finally arrived, we found that they were burnt on one side, and one was even cold. Additionally, the sauces we ordered were mixed up between our meals. The tater tots we ordered as sides were also cold. When the waitress returned, we mentioned the issues with our meals, and she simply asked, “What do you want to do about it?” It shouldn’t be the customer's responsibility to figure out a solution for dishes that were both burnt and cold. The only good thing I have to say about this place is Megan our waitress. We came from out of town to meet some friends who had highly recommend this place. We ordered crabby fries and the cheese came out still frozen on the fries, and the fries were soggy. One of our sandwiches didn't have what we ordered on it, and after we were done eating we noticed people being turned away because something in the kitchen broke. We had a dog with us and they had outdoor seating but no umbrellas or covering above it, so if you need to sit outside I would not recommend the restaurant. Through all of these difficulties Megan had a smile on her face and did a fantastic job serving us.

Always love the wheel. I remember my first visit in Pottsville. The Tamaqua place is even better. The food is amazing. Huge portions. What a great idea. Crystal was our server and she was on top of everything and wasn't overbearing. I made a fantastic puppy coloring fort daughter hahaha!!! This place is a hidden gem that any tourist or local should try at least once. The specialty sandwiches are really good on top of the list to make your own grilled cheese. Not to mention that the workers there are very personable and nice people. Réservez une table maintenant
