Would have given it 4 or 5 stars but my girlfriend's dish fell short. I had the tri-tip with mashed potatoes and baked beans. Loved them all. Didn't even use the barbecue sauce because the meat was tender and flavorful enough blended with the sides. The potatoes tasted homemade with a bit of green onion (nice move! And hidden in the beans were luscious tender chunks of pork. She got the brisket with sides of cole slaw and roasted corn. As someone else mentioned, the brisket was a little overdone and tougher than you would expect. The slaw was average and the corn, although flavorful, finished dry. Lastly, the corn muffin I doused in butter added a satisfying sweet balance to it all. We'll go...
Wow? very pleasant surprise! Not sure which we were impressed with more, the food or the customer service. My husband and I stopped in just for drinks, but decided to have a small bite and shared ?the barnyard? plate. We were pleasantly full off of the brisket, ribs, pulled pork, with coleslaw and mash potatoes. Should have taken a before and after picture? sorry, we dug in to fast. ? Not sure if she was the manager, but a young lady toured around asking folks about their meal. The questions were friendly and genuinely real, very refreshing. Highly recommend.
