Nothing but amazing things to say about my brunch at Whistle and Flute. Everything was outstanding service, food and venue. Loved the vibe, felt like i was in Melbourne! The menu is so great, so much variety! I couldn't decide what to eat but one of the lovely wait staff gave me some recommendations. Perfectly cooked poached eggs, with also perfectly cooked haloumi, beetroot relish had incredible flavor and loved the addition of the thinly sliced beetroot topped with crunchy greens and seeds! Added the mixed mushrooms which were also a hit! My mum had the blue swimmer scrambled eggs, she said it was one of the best breakfast she has had. Presentation also a 10/10. cant wait to go back
It was a bit tricky to find as there is only a tiny sign not visible when driving past and street numbers were hard to spot. Hard to find a park on a busy main road.Well presented and stylish venue with some interesting food options on the breakfast and lunch menus which we looked at. We were there for coffeeandt were disappointed that there wasn't a selection of cakes or biscuits from which to choose something to go with our coffee; the only options seemed to be filled croissants, what appeared to be a small roll and one biscuit, all of which were displayed, uncovered, on the counter.Very pleasant and attentive staff offer excellent service.
The staff have just the right amount of friendliness, joviality, knowledge about the food and patience. The service is what sets this place apart. The food is great; the breakfast menu is the shining star. Have been for breakfast and lunch. Will have to come back for the wine bar experience. Hip, yet friendly. No 'too cool for school' thing going on. Professional service, delicious food plated invitingly. They have transformed a boring office foyer into a really lovely, inviting space.
Got into some breakfast here, I'd read up about the blue swimmer crab scrambos and was probably the best breakfast I've had in the last 6 months. It was ridiculously good. Some watercress, a bit of spicy Sriracha, and adding a side of bacon, it's off chops.I was going to do a work call there but they had NWA pumping in the background - and it was loud too - wasn't sure if the Crips or the Bloods would appear and pop a cap in my... Whistle and flute would have to be one of the best brunch spots in Adelaide. From the moment you walk in the staff are friendly and attentive (but not too pushy), the coffee is always on point and the brunch menu has never disappointed! If you're heading here on a Saturday morning for brunch make sure you book! I've been disappointed afew times but have since learnt from my mistake! P.s Their online booking system is extremely easy to use.
I dont think I would have found this restaurant on my own, but I am very glad I now know where it is. The menu is not huge, but the food is amazing. My steak was beautifully cooked, and I finished off my meal with a salted caramel cronut from Abbots and Kinney. Not a place for a cheap lunch, definitely the place for a relaxing meal in a great setting, with friendly staff.
First impressions are everything and I was impressed!The eggs and bacon were superb lightly garnished with what seemed like a delightfully tangy jus and leaves. Presentation was perfect.Coffee was good too, not outstanding but still good enough to warrant 5 stars.Will definitely be back.
