This place is a down home slice of American pie straight out of the 1940’s or 50’s. Serving classic comfort food in a charming rest stop setting right out of something you’d see in the movies, it’s clear why White Dotte has been feeding motorists and locals for decades. The staff is incredibly friendly and fast. I’ve had the fried chicken and waffles, smothered in delicious white country gravy. I’ve also tried their slow cooked, savory and sweet BBQ. Corn bread, baked beans, fried pickles, coleslaw and mac n cheese are all really delicious and taste like mom made them. This is great comfort food at a really good price.
