I have never waited so long for a pre booked table. Our table was booked for 3pm on Mother's Day, and we finally got seated (whilst the table was being cleaned around us) at 3:45pm. We had placed our food order whilst we had been waiting, but we waited another 40 minutes for the food to arrive. On asking the landlord why the food was taking so long, he blamed it on the veggie burger that I had ordered I fail to realise how this was possible, given that if a veggie burger had been cooked for 40 minutes, there would have been nothing left if it. Terrible experience at this restaurant. The owner was extremely rude and I would not recommend dining here. If I could, I would give this place zero stars. We had to wait 40 minutes past our reservation time, even after paying a deposit. Our main course took an additional 40 minutes to arrive, and then we had to wait another 20 minutes for dessert because of a large table before us. When we complained and wanted to cancel our dessert, the owner insisted that we pay for both courses regardless. The food was just average, with some dishes arriving cold and others too hot. The food at this restaurant was absolutely terrible. The owner was extremely rude and disrespectful to my family. We have been here many times before with no issues, but on Mother's Day (for which we had made a reservation a month in advance and paid an £80 deposit) the lamb was served cold, as if it had just been taken out of the fridge. The vegetables were placed on a scolding hot plate right in front of my 5-year-old niece's face. the white hard inn is a nice gastro pub and gastro house in llangybi. the atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. enjoy a drink through a large fireplace, then moved to a larger sitting area for our main square. the restaurant was full, but not overcrowded for a Saturday evening, although a reservation would be recommended. the personal was professional, friendly and polite. the food was fabulous. everything was perfectly cooked. eating in white hard inn was an absolute pleasure. highly recommended for those who go through / visit llangybi! We had a gorgeous meal at this pub, the landlord and staff were very attentive. It had the best variety menu that we have seen in any pub post Covid. The only criticism I would have is that it was a little cold and when they opened up another room leading from the restaurant it became very cold.
Couldn’t have been more looked after by the staff, food was excellent also. Steak cooked perfectly to medium rare and the desserts were fab also. Have been before for Sunday lunch and this was great also, massive yorkshires! Always made to feel welcomed and part of the family.
