Must have driven thousands of times from this place and I thought every restaurant that survived the pandemic must be fine. The interior is a little from plaster (old fashion) but the good waiting staff and simple food. I ordered the filled seafood plate (see photo). While I would have loved more crabs in the mixture, the price was low for filled flounder, filled shrimps and mushrooms buried under a cloud of filling. It was the fresh vegetables that blown me away. I chose grilled vegetables (can be roasted before time, but then well caramelized on a grid before serving) and steamed broccoli (severe fresh stems x2). My husband had braided zucchini in tomato socks there were remains of fresh thyme swimming in it. So many diners have taken sad short cuts.
If you are in the area then do yourself a favor and stop by at this restaurant. You will not be disappointed. The owner Nick is the is one of the friendliest guys you will meet and will take care of you properly. The food is also that classic delicious dinner food that we all know and love. I highly recommend the Maryland crab cake salad with a side of fries. The portions of their salads are also very filling. You will leave here full and satisfied guaranteed.
I was pleasantly surprised to find this place as charming and tasty as it was 25 years ago when it was opened! My husband had ham cheese omelet, I had French toast with scrambled bacon. Extremely fast with great and friendly service as well as amazing food. Bring more friends this week!! Interior and exterior seats are available and their prices are phenomenal!! Definitely as good as I remember because I actually came here since I was a child!! I loved her chickens Noodle soup certainly recommend their omelets and French toast!
