I had read that this is a restaurant where most of it's patrons are seniors. That is true. I don't think there was anyone under 60 in the whole place (Note: we are all over 60 as well. Despite that, the bar crowd is a fairly lively bunch. Dinner was very good. The filet mignons were very good and cooked exactly to order. I was told by my other eating partners that the veal (Veal Whitemarsh? was delicious and the same for the chicken l parm. The server was a bit unorganized, though very pleasant. I asked for my salad dressing on the side, and it came already on the salad, and we had to ask for our bread. This is a fantastic restaurant with an extensive menu. While it is on the pricier side, the food was excellent. The service was outstanding as well. There was a talented singer who encouraged customers to join in, and I had a lot of fun participating! I did take off one star due to some plumbing issues from the night before, which meant the bathrooms weren't functioning properly. I'm sure that has been resolved now. We will definitely return!
Food was delicious once I got the correct entree. It was a new waitress and she was gracious and apologetic about the wrong entree. But the tables along the window on the porch are much too close together. There were 4 of us and. I had to sit at the end of the table. Remove a table or 2 from that area. Guests cannot sit back to back at tables in that porch area. Try it yourselves ..
I frequently visit this wonderful restaurant because I really appreciate the unique atmosphere it offers. The staff is both friendly and professional, and the service is impressively quick. Of course, the food is fantastic as well; I've dined here often and have always left satisfied. They also accept payment again, which is a plus. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. One of our all-time favorite spots! Whether it's for a special lunch, a date night, or a birthday celebration, Whitemarsh Valley Inn is the place to be. The menu is fantastic, and the prices are quite reasonable. We particularly enjoy the Prime Rib Special on Saturday nights. The bartenders and waitstaff are always quick to respond and attentive.
