We went to Wildwood Market Harborough for a belated celebration meal with family to celebrate birthdays and other events (a party of nine). We enjoy the bustling atmosphere at the Market Harborough location and find the staff to be welcoming and efficient. Our food and drinks were ordered and our starters arrived within ten minutes (Bruschetta, Tiger Prawns, Garlic Breads). My Bruschetta was flagged for my allergy as I requested no Pesto. Our main courses arrived promptly and were cooked and presented beautifully (Steaks, Fish, Pasta, Pizzas). Overall all the dishes failed to deliver for the price being charged. Portion sizes were tiny and we all left still feeling hungry. You can make better pasta at home with supermarket ready made sauces. We asked for room temperature water but was told all the water is kept in the fridge. At the end of the meal we were told there is an optional 10% service charge but this had already been added to the bill so it was embarrassing to tell the young waiter in front of other customers that we didn't want to tip for the standard service that was provided. Food poisoning on my Birthday!!!! This restaurant has gone spiral down after Pandemic. I had lasagne for dinner and within two hours I experienced the sickest time of my life on the evening of my Birthday. I have reported the issue day after, but absolutely no help, support, compensation offer,...nothing from the young Italian manager. The response I got was few word of total denial and untruthful comment of investigation of their food. I can not wait to see this branch close down in this town. Such a shame,....
Tasty food, reasonable prices. The waiter was very friendly and gave us great service. One meal came and was accidentally the wrong order but straight away it was taken and replaced with the correct order. The toilets are very clean. Seating area upstairs was nice, never been upstairs before. Recommend for families, couples, groups, there’s something for everyone Réservez une table maintenant
The interior of the restaurant is charming and the staff are very friendly. However, the food was quite disappointing. The burger appeared to be frozen and the steak was poorly cooked. Overall, we felt that the quality of the food did not match the high prices. We do not plan on returning to this restaurant.
