We made a very last minute booking for 6 people as the restaurant we were meant to meet at cancelled due to a water pipe damage. Wildwood managed to fit us in, on what appeared to be a busy evening for them. The food was amazing, between us we tried the duck, herb chicken, calzone and cheese burgers. All of us were very impressed with the food. We weren’t waiting long for it to come, it all arrived together piping hot and fresh. My chicken was cooked perfectly. We then ordered deserts which too were very tasty. Custard portions were very small but we asked for more and they gave us more so it wasn’t an issue. We visited Wildwood for a family meal for a group of 20 over the Christmas week. It was quite a complicated booking and Andy and the team were always helpful and accommodating for any special requests for dietary needs. As part of the visit all of the food came out at the same time and all the orders were spot on. Andy and the team kept popping by to check if any more drinks were needed and to check things were ok. We did have a while to wait for the desserts as the restaurant got busier and because we were such a big group, but all in all I would highly recommend this restaurant. The food and drinks were all delicious and it was a lovely setting.
We celebrated our daughter's 18th birthday at Wildwood with the whole family. We had a party of 24 and reserved the private dining room. The service was exceptional from the moment we booked until we left. Andy and Sylvie went above and beyond to make sure all our needs were met. I want to give a shoutout to our waiter, Sam, who provided attentive and excellent service despite his young age. My only suggestion is to offer more vegan options as the selection is limited. However, I did enjoy the vegan lasagne which was delicious. I look forward to returning. Thank you for making my daughter's birthday celebration so special.
If you want an amazing food, great service, great wine and very good price then Wildwood is the restaurant for you. We tried pasta, and steaks and even the Philly cheese steak and everything was outstanding. This was out last night in Crawley and totally worth it to close the trip on this high note. It is so amazing to fine a gem like this and I could go to this restaurant again and again and still feel like the first time. I had a disappointing experience at Wildwood restaurant in Crawley. Our drinks took nearly 30 minutes to arrive, and the pizzas we ordered were burnt and lacking in toppings for the price we paid (£14-£15). When we raised our concerns with a staff member, we were met with a dismissive response claiming they had done us a favor by finding us a table, despite the restaurant being half empty. We used to visit this restaurant frequently, but after this disappointing visit, we will definitely be avoiding it in the future.
Food was fine but painfully slow and disorganised service. Staff were very busy but no one seemed to bi in charge to make sure customers were bein served. We arrived at booked time but table was not ready, it took 20 minutes to ask for our order, a further hour for food to arrive. We had to ask for table to be cleared and for desert menu followed by more delays. Overall it took 3 hours and at no point did anyone acknowledge or apologise for the delay.
Staying at Gatwick before our holiday and got a bus into town and found this place and what a choice we made. Amazing pizzas, lasagna, chicken burgers, spaghetti bolognaise and fries. Really was one of the best pizzas (Philly steak pizza) I’ve ever had. 2 young grandkids had a 2 course deal which was amazing especially they’re chocolate brownie. Our server was Sylvia was really good and deserves a big shout out.
The restaurant was beautifully decorated and the food was outstanding. As an Italian, I am usually skeptical when dining out as I know what authentic Italian cuisine should taste like. Arrived for a 7:30PM booking on time. The restaurant was half full. Ordered within 10 mins of arrival. Had a glass of wine, 1 hour later one of the managers returned to our table to apologise for the delay in the arrival of our two pizzas. We could not wait any longer and had to leave. Very disappointing.
