Looked in to Wildwood after Little Italy could take one for dinner. Loved the old/contemporary feel to the York Wildwood a name I didn't know at all. They were attentive without being over bearing and it obvious that they were short staffed. Kudos to the lovely person who looked after me totally professional. From their new additions I opted for the Chicken Pate starter and Rump Steak; both were stand outs delicious and a perfectly cooked medium rare steak. You need to order more bread for the pate, but it came quickly and hot. Shout out on the fries always a dodgy bet at some places; but these were crisp and hot. Kudos Wildwood I'll be back great place to go !
Stumbled upon this without checking the reviews...no need to. Nice friendly atmosphere, great staff,service and the food was amazing. Menu not over complicated and a good choice for all tastes. We had the Penne alla Norma and the baked Chicken and Mushroom pasta...both fantastic...no complaints. We will be back again in November when we next visit York. Highly recommend
Found this place by accident. Lovely interior, plenty of space, high chair for our toddler is a bonus. The food was fantastic. Staff attentive but not intrusive. Great food, good prices. Definitely a place I’d visit again. Thank you for the lovely lunch !
large restaurant in the center of york, with a fantastic selection of menu items. they also have a set-lunch menu for £9.99 for two courses that are worth a lot. all staff very friendly and fast service. would recommend.

they had marked a great menu with gluten-free items! the waitress informed me that they did everything to reduce cross-contamination for my meal! I really felt safe and happy with my choice to eat there!
first time during the visit and holiday in york. attending staff. delicious food. great atmosphere. close to the cabinets. my mother has experienced eating.
we went before old, I think I had pizza at the time and it was not remarkable enough for us not to disturb to go back, cheap tasting chain type food.
Warm Friendly staff. Relaxed unrushed atmosphere. Lovely mushroom risotto and rosemary bread. My other half enjoyed the margarita and the Bolognese.
