My husband and I went to this cafe for lunch, as we have always enjoyed dining here. We both ordered salad meals, and I made sure to ask the staff member taking our order if the salad was vegan. She confirmed that it was. However, when our food arrived about 5 minutes later, we discovered that the coleslaw and potato salad were not vegan. I informed another staff member, who quickly rectified the mistake by replacing the non-vegan salads with suitable alternatives, which were tasty. Although we were a bit disappointed by the mix-up, we had never experienced this issue before at this cafe.
Arrived just before 9am on Sunday to have breakfast, quite a few other customers ahead of us so was expecting a wait, no problem with that. But the food came very quick and what a disappointment. The sausage was barely cooked and not hot , bacon dried up ,cold and was obviously from the day before. Coffee not good. Best part was beans and lovely fried eggs! Yes I could have aired my views at the time but we would have been late for our onward destination. I hope I got the kitchen staff on a bad day and it was a one off but won’t return
Came here to have a breakfast before heading back home to London, was absolutely lovely especially having the river outside where you could eat, the food is locally sourced and very fresh, Wilfs also welcome dogs, parking is easy and local to cafe, there is a good selection of breakfast meals and different options available, do come here to get some good food and enjoy, staff are lovely and friendly, there is also a back area with sofas where you can feel more comfortable, seating upstairs also
Lovely venue to meet with friends, as I did today. I chose a filter coffee and toasted tea cake.. Both under par.. The coffee pot was only half filled with hot water, thus only just filling the small cup I was given.. None left to top up... The tea cake was toasted yes, but hard and not nice and squidgy. The butter couldn't soak in as was cold. Either previously toasted or not fresh... Certainly not what I was expecting.

We entered the restaurant and inquired if they allowed dogs. We were met with a friendly smile and assured that they were indeed dog-friendly. The atmosphere was clean, bright, and inviting. The food was fresh, well-presented, and reasonably priced. They even provided water for our dogs, making us feel very comfortable. We would highly recommend this restaurant!
This café is a nice spot for lunch, but I was disappointed with their Rarebit dish. It was essentially just cheese on toast, not the traditional thick sauce with cheese, mustard, and black pepper spread on toast and grilled. I only gave it three stars because I had higher expectations. There are other cafes in the area that make a much better Rarebit.
Beautiful little spot, fantastic food and hospitality at Wilfs. We have visited before and everytime are more impressed. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options... scrumptious cakes and ice cream. Find a table , order at counter....brilliant service....even ordered 2 sausages for the dogs wonderful we will be back
Had breakfast here 3 times during our recent visit to the area. Can't fault Wilf's. Bacon and sausages were really tasty. Tried the porridge on one visit which was excellent. Would thoroughly recommend.

Very good cafe for a light lunch. Dogs welcome. Food was fresh, and service prompt and friendly. Recommended for families, especially those with dogs.
