This is formula dining, but here, they make it feel as though it almost isn't. The fact is that all restaurants like Wimpy's Diner are cookie cutter. Everything, and I mean everything, is directed by the book. It is up to the staff to make it feel as though everything has a loving touch and lots of care. At this Wimpy's they do a pretty good job. Though the coffee could use some improvement. Initially I thought it was because I had the end of an old pot, but I got the first cup out of a fresh pot and even it took a bite out of the back of my throat. Decided to grab a bite, as we were starving after working all day. The waitress was amazing, friendly and attentive. Great conversation and she was very helpful to everyone. There was even 2 couples, who came in and they were senior - she directed them to a warmer spot to sit, so they would be out of the way of a draft from an outside door. She was great ! I ordered a western omelet with home fries and rye toast. Deliciousness and beyond! My hubby had the gigantic burger with fries and gravy. The burger was enormous and could have fed two easily. Driving in circles deciding to have breakfast or wait for lunch. Brunch?I wanted to go to a Family 88 restaurant or something like that, but it was closed for some reason or another until Nov 16th (or 18th), so went to Shopsy's - haven't been there in a loooooog time. And it will be another long time since it was closed. Ended up at Wimpy's. Nothing too brilliant to report. Just another american breakfast and off I went to fill my day with activities. As you know, this place is littered with old posters and memorabilias. One thing that caught my eye was a tootsie roll add. The place is well decorated. The food is not ok. My wife is the critics and she threw up on the burger. She thinks even the Harvey regular burgers and the Golden Star burgers is much better than this. Also had the chocolate milk sake and it is way too sweet. The fries has some weird taste and a little bit bitter. In conclusion, the food quality is running down compare the other Whimpy store I had years ago. Price is too expensive for such quality food
I had brunch at Wimpy's Diner. The food was delicious and the service was fast. The food was too hot and I burnt the roof of my mouth. The staff were friendly and this restaurant was very clean. The restaurant is small but I had lots of room. I have eaten here several times.
