Fantastic classic diner that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner all day long. One of the very best in the area. I have been going to Windmill for years and never ever had a problem getting a table. (No idea what other reviewers are talking about regarding being told it was ‘full’..that has never happened to me in nearly 20 years of being a patron). Food is always fresh, well prepared and served by very courteous and friendly staff. In addition the restaurant is always clean and the furnishings are obviously well cared for (no torn seats, chipped tables, etc). This diner is difficult to describe. There's nothing inherently wrong with it, and the food was actually quite good—better than average, in fact. However, there's an odd vibe that you have to experience to fully grasp. Again, the food was really tasty, the service was efficient, and the meals were served quickly. Even the restrooms were spotless. Yet, there’s something unsettling about the overall atmosphere, almost as if an AI designed a diner based on its understanding of what one should be, but the details don’t quite fit together. The autumn season always reminds me of Thanksgiving, so the turkey dinner special was exactly what I craved! It was absolutely delicious! There was so much food that I couldn't finish it, but I certainly tried! My husband opted for the fried scallops and was equally pleased with his choice. On a side note, if you're a fan of iced tea, their unsweetened version is the best I've ever had at a restaurant! We usually come here for breakfast, but now we'll definitely be back for dinner as well.
It is well worth coming the beaten path and enjoy this place! Looks recently rebuilt still keeps that scenic hometown diner feeling, and eating? If you are looking for comfort food, this is the perfect place to find it! It's too bad that we live in Florida, otherwise that would be my new local hangout.

My wife and I met with a friend at the Windmill for a nice breakfast before delving into moving furniture. It had been a while since my last visit and they did a lot of work upgrading the diner. Food and coffee were good. I wish they had tweaked their menu just a bit but that is just me.
I've been visiting the Windmill for 35 years and I have no complaints. The diner is always very clean, and the food arrives quickly and is consistently delicious. Each visit is enjoyable, especially when I go for the horned beef hash breakfast, which is a favorite of mine.
I have so many fond memories of dining at the windmill during my childhood, and now I love taking my own kids there! The food is consistently delicious, and the restaurant is always clean. It's a great spot for comfort food with quick service.
food is always good when i go here. howeverthe service is lacking, for lack of better term. The food comes out quick however the staff seem to care less. doesn’t change the fact that’s it’s quick and reasonably priced!

Nice place, listening to Bob Sieger . The pancakes were great and the coffee always hot and perfect. The service is really friendly and fast too.
