My first visit to Wine Gum Café several years was on the recommendation of people at Chandler advising it was the best eatery in the district and that's where they went for lunch. Friends living in the area used to visit regularly for breakfast or lunch.Being in the area recently, my decision was to revisit Wine Gum Café for lunch. The number of eateries in the shopping complex has now increased but Wine Gum still seems to be attracting quite a reasonable number of clients, its key to success probably being the standard fare it offers, the board specials prepared in their kitchen, together with the quality of its food.For quite a time, I couldn't locate the menus (covered with a handbag by a customer placing an order). One staff member was attending to this customer, the other stood near the coffee machine in some sort of dream - not offering to assist me - until about 30 seconds after locating the menus she asked if I was ready to place an order.My order was taken - not by the dreamer - and things progressed well from there.With tables inside all occupied, I sat outside which was quite comfortable. My order was delivered in a timely fashion and I was quite satisfied. I was impressed with the lady who had been doing the majority of the work. Her efforts endeavouring to assist improved the experience.This shopping centre is near a busy intersection, close to a school, and, as I was advised some time ago, food choices in the area are still somewhat limited. I would, therefore, happily suggest people visit Wine Gum Café for breakfast, lunch or a takeaway.
This cafe is very reasonably priced and has a nice atmosphere with plenty of outdoor seating. The Merlo coffee is delicious and the meals we ordered for breakfast were very tasty. The portion sizes were very generous and the meals came out quickly - very impressive all round :)
