It's bee a few years since I've been back here. This small area of Montreal over the last fifteen years has become a kind of second Chinatown for Montreal, and all along the street, you'll find many Asian restaurants ranging from Korean, to Chinese to Japanese all you can eat sushi, thronged by tourists, locals and students from nearby Concordia University.Wok Cafe was one of the first to set up shop here about then 15 years ago, and Mary who was serving us today, is one of the owners. Having her attentive eyes and easy-going attitude made this meal absolutely delightful as we spoke about old days and how the restaurants changed. They still have their table d'hote which is very cheap and com...

We were here on Canada Day weekend, we have dinner here the hostess was great she sit us down right away and call the server and introduce us to her that she will be the server for the night and it went down hill from there. We order our food Green Curry Chicken for me, Singapore Noodles for my husband and and kids meal for my daughter. There is another family came after us, yes is way too busy thats understandable but to serve the food to the family came after us is unacceptable. We waited for more than 45 minutes and not even an apology of what happen serving the other family before us and waited for the food that long, I tried to talk to our server but she is just avoiding us, if I don't...
Worst service we've ever had. We were told they don't accept credit cards so we pulled together $40 in cash. Bill was $37.70. We normally tip 20% but we had ordered tea which was never brought to us. The waitresses walk away while you're still talking as though they know what you're going to say. My husband had asked what the Yu Hsiang sauce is and was told very spicy. He likes spicy but not sweet and specified that it's not sweet. She said "no not sweet" and our eggplants arrived in a very sweet sauce that he couldn't eat. The $40 was returned to us as we were told there is a 10% minimum tip. (But she didn't know if we were going to leave money on the table after getting our change back) So...
Place is located downtown close to university's and colleges, so food is cheap and area is busy, hence decline in service and food quality over the years. Don't be surprised to hear staff yelling to each other in Korean while visiting. Last time I was there to pick up food, wait staff made me get my order from the kitchen lol. General Tao and barbecue duck are your go to but meh... I still order cause they are super quick on days I need something quick last resort. Réservez une table maintenant
This place is not super expensive, it is fast, and it is good. It is not the fine chinese cuisine but as a regular / everyday kind of restaurant it is pretty good. The dumplings are really good, the soups are good, the general Tao's chicken is excellent!!! They have the option of take out or eat in. It is well located as well since it is right downtown montreal near Concordia university.
We ordered 6 combos for the family and the food was pretty 'meh'. The general tao and the ginger beef were good, but the lemon chicken and chow mein were bland. The biggest problem is the combo was packed with rice, with less of the actual main dish than there should have been. The delivery was fast though!
Good meals, very affordable and great amount of food. The place is not very sexy neither the service but it's always fun to go there with some friends if you want to have a good dinner. Get the chicken general tao with fried rice
Good Thai food on the go! Spicy if that's what you re looking for! Ask them and they ll simply add spice to your meal! Enjoy your meal with walk on the St. Catherine street. Réservez une table maintenant
The food is amazing and fast Great if you want a quick lunch or supper. It is always really busy but if there is a line up you never wait long.
Wow again a little restaurant that looks pretty simple from the outside. But the food is great as the price.
