I am really writing this review with hopes Wonderbar can return to it's former glory. This used to be our favorite restaurant in Beacon, food and drinks were high quality and well executed every time. We would rave about this place to others. Purchased giftcards for family members to also enjoy. Sadly we went their last night and everything seemed different and not in a good way.While I wouldn't say the food was necessarily terrible, it definitely was not to the standard it was before. We got the tunatartare and it seemed like they opened a bag of tostitos chips, threw them in a bowl and put some tuna on top. I am writing this review in the hopes that Wonderbar can return to its former glory. This used to be our favorite restaurant in Beacon, with high quality food and drinks served in an organized manner every time. We used to even buy gift cards for family members to enjoy. However, our experience last night was disappointing. The food did not meet the standard we were used to. The tuna tartare seemed like it was made with store-bought tortilla chips and the sliders tasted like they were made with low-quality ingredients. The quality and creativity have declined. I asked the waitress if there was a change in the chef, but she did not provide a clear answer. I hope Wonderbar can find its way bac...
I'm not a big fan of this restaurant. Went for dinner with friends and we ordered almost everything on the menu. The service was slow, the staff was rude (apologies for asking for a menu after waiting for 5 minutes), and everything we ordered was too spicy, too salty, and too sweet. The fried chicken was coated in honey, almost like sweet honey cookies nuggets. They don't have cocktails, so I might come back for those someday. But I would think twice about returning for the food.
Amazing Owners! Over the TOP amazing food the ambience, well you just have to visit to see for yourself. We have had several Private events at The Wonder Bar at Story Screen in the midst of a pandemic the Owners made our event safe, enjoyable. The service, the cocktails, the bookshelves, the cozy sofa, the intimate setting was everything we wanted received. Already planning our next event! I had a fantastic Sunday brunch experience at this restaurant. The place has a great history, offers an excellent light menu, delicious cocktails, and specials, all served with attentive and relaxing service. The awesome tunes from Anderson Paak radio on Spotify added to the overall enjoyable atmosphere. I highly recommend this place for a refreshing dining experience.
This Sunday brunch experience was absolutely fantastic. The restaurant has a great history, a wonderful light menu, decadent cocktails, and specialties that come with top-notch attentive service. Throw in some fantastic tunes from Anderson Paak on Spotify, and you'll leave feeling completely refreshed. I highly recommend this place.
I recently had one of the best meals at this restaurant. The flatbread was incredibly delicious, as well as the prosciutto and melon salad and tomato salad with burrata. We ordered the El Mariachi and Paper Plane cocktails, which were both fantastic and even better than those from supposed 5-star cocktail bars in Manhattan.
