We went as our family of four for dinner on Saturday night (23rd) to the Woodlands Restaurant. This was our first visit to the restaurant although we are frequently at both the stables cafe and Dumfries house grounds. Upon arrival we had such a warm welcome from Megan and her team, we settled into some comfy chairs for a pre-dinner drink and had a look at the menu. We ordered and were shown to our table just before our starters were served. So to the food.....I had the Cullen skink, Jane had chicken liver parfait and the kids had soup of the day (parsnip) and wild mushroom arancini.
