Server at the bar (supervisor, I think was almost impossible to hear, and I had to take my tea back and ask for a new one when I realised she had not given me decaff as requested (pregnancy dictates decaff! she swapped it without a fuss. Food was great, although I was disappointed there was no seafood option (tuna, prawn mayo, etc for the jacket potatoes. Foccacia was excellent, sourdough slightly stale. Friend had mezze platter without bread but was disappointed there were no stuffed vine leave available. Otherwise her food was great. The staff were lovely, very polite and friendly. The service was excellent, but we were disappointed by the quality and availability of the food. Some options on the menu were not available at the time we booked, which was frustrating for one of our party, who has a very restricted diet (for medical reasons). The bread for the sandwiches was almost stale, and it looked as though the kitchen was running out of certain fillings, as some sandwiches were more bread than anything else! Considering the price of the food, we expected much much better. I'd give the staff five stars, but the food really isn't up to scratch.

During our visit to the restaurant, we noticed many dirty tables when we were seated. There seemed to be plenty of staff, but they weren't very attentive. We ordered two glasses of champagne, some broth, and two jacket potatoes to start. The champagne arrived and was delightful. However, the creamy water we ordered never showed up. After a wait of 45 minutes, our jacket potatoes finally arrived, but they didn’t look very appealing, and the coleslaw was a bit off. We mentioned that we still hadn't received our broth, and it finally arrived on the side. Overall, we were very disappointed with the food service.

We enjoyed both breakfast and afternoon tea at the restaurant. The pain au chocolat was fabulous—soft and flaky, I couldn’t resist ordering another! The afternoon tea was one of the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve tried many! The ham in the sandwiches was incredibly delicious; we both noticed and commented on it. The scones were large, super fresh, and absolutely delicious. The service was warm and attentive, with a helpful staff who made everything feel effortless. Réservez une table maintenant

It took 25 minutes to have our order taken and then I had to ask the waiter to take it. We also ordered tea which never came. The food was good when it did arrive. The restaurant was not busy (3 other couples) so no excuse for tardiness.

Really enjoyed my brunch. Very good breakfast menu. Poached eggs on gluten free toast was excellent. And the decaf latte was also really good. I sat in a sunny window and highly enjoyed it. Staff were very friendly, polite and helpful.

The ambiance was beautiful, the service was great, and the environment was comfortable. I wasn't entirely at ease with the color of some of the buns in my bun and mayonnaise jacket potato, but I chose to simply overlook it.
