This is my first time feeling I needed to write a review. This restaurant is a 4.8 overall, and highly suggested online in the Columbus area. In reality, its not worth a 1 star. I ordered General Tsos, for $15, you get about 6 pieces (not big) of chicken. Its dry, and burnt. It has no real flavor, just tons of spiceyness. You get a ton of rice, yay. On the rice, is this dried up, sad looking egg. It looks like it was left on the counter to marinate in open air for a few days and slapped on the rice as some sad attempt to mask how terrible this meal is. Again, $15. There are DOZENS of chinese restaurants on door dash with cheaper general Tsos, you get 4x the food, and its not nearly as sad. D...
This is some of the best Chinese food I've ever had. It is always consistent, large portions, and delicious. I like that you can pick which style of fresh noodle for your dish, and also like that they have several non-noodle dishes if you are looking for something else.The people working here are amazing. I had only been here a couple of times before I moved away from Columbus and haven't been back in over a year. I moved back recently and went today for lunch, and they remembered me. I was completely shocked. I am definitely going to be a regular here from now on.
Smallest dinner portion Ive ever received. Normal rectangular sized plastic Chinese food container, but separated by divider into 1/3 and 2/3 sections. The rice was in the 2/3 section and the "spicy" chicken and veg in the 1/3 section. Order soup or an appetizer or you will go hungry. I dont mind paying 2.25 for a can of cold coke, but what do you think happens whenyou put a cold coke in the same bag as the hot food for 15 mins? Happy House is a much better option nearby. They were closed today and this was so disappointing.
Curry Beef Over Rice 咖喱牛饭 has very little beef. It was served in a to-go style container with rice beef separate, and no space to put... beef over rice. Heavily lacks curry flavor. General Tsos Chicken Over Rice 左宗鸡饭 has the same issue, no way to eat it over rice. Chicken tastes of poor quality and is definitely more than slightly spicy, with no mention of spiciness compared to other dishes that do make a note of it. My girlfriend can only eat the rice. Absolutely delicious food. The restaurant itself is nice, clean, and has a good ambiance. Service was great. And the food is legit, delicious, definitely some of the best Chinese food you can find in the city, and they serve stuff that's hard to find elsewhere.The noodles were hand made, and you could tell. they were absolutely delicious. We're so lucky to have food of this caliber in Columbus of all places
This hidden gem has some of the best Chinese noodle soup you can find in Columbus (the spicy beef noodle is particularly delicious). The dining area is a little small, but has the capacity to support a large group. The staff is very friendly and helpful, even remembering my partner who had been there before.I would recommend this spot for anyone looking for a casual sit-down dinner or lunch.
This place is so amazing!! I'm so happy I found Xi Xia in Columbus. They make legit hand pulled noodles, and they make their broth the day before and you can definitely tell! Their beef noodle soup is soo good! I will definitely be back. Réservez une table maintenant
