I haven't written a review in so long but I just had to share my experience. I was travelling to Glasgow today alone for work so was thrilled to see a hotpot place nearby. The waitress told me it cost £2 more for a single person to order a hotpot. It isn't exactly cheap either starting at £19p.p for 2 or more people. As I had seen there were only 2 groups sat in the full area, I asked anyway if I could sit. The waitress then proceeds to ask how many people and I say just myself. The waitress then says there is no room today, bearing in mind it is just after 5.30pm so not really rush hour. Rather than arguing back at discriminating against single diners, I am just so embarrassed and leave. I...
Been a few times with friends here and always delicious and great value. Can order as much as you want for around £19 and makes a change from traditional restaurants as here you cook the food yourself in the warm bowl of broth in front of you. Its also BYO here so can bring beer, wine etc from the shops below. Highly recommended for something a Bit different! Love the smell of the broth as you walk up the stair through the entrance
It was my boyfriend and first time here. Once we figured out what we were doing it was fab! There was a wide selection of soup bases and food. Lots of condiments such as soy sauce, garlic, chilli, etc. The food was tasty and all the tables were constantly full. As soon as people left, more came in straight away which is always a good sign. We just felt that the service lacked a little which is why I have given 4 stars
Found this hotpot place and it was perfect for the dreary cold weather in Glasgow! It's a small setup and the hotpot ingredients are not extensive, but it felt really comforting to eat this in the cold and wet weather. The staff were quite attentive and quick with their service. I was thrilled to learn that Glasgow had a hotpot restaurant and made a reservation in December to give it a try. I was not let down. The prices are incredible, the food is delicious and fresh, and the staff are friendly, even to someone new to the hotpot experience. If you're seeking something unique and authentic, I recommend trying out Xianbala.
The hotpot buffet, offering a variety of ingredients to choose from, is a great value for the price. This is a good option if you're tired of greasy British pub food. It may not be the most upscale dining experience, but the Chinese fare is tasty. Just be prepared for service that is not top-notch.
My family went for dinner at Xiangbala and we enjoyed it a lot. Wide selection of seafood, fresh vegs and it’s so much cheaper than any hotpot place in London. Customer service is a bit slow (maybe understaffed) but they’re doing okay. Still, highly recommend if you’re a hotpot fanatic.
I have visited this restaurant several times. It is a cozy little spot near Haymarket that specializes in Chinese Hot Pot cooking. They offer a variety of seafood, meat, and vegetables to choose from. Additionally, you are allowed to bring your own drinks. Réservez une table maintenant
