After an appointment at the Hamburg Speck Belt, I went home. Because of congested highway, it went over land roads. Since I had been hungry, I stopped in Bad Bramstedt. In the centre I found a parking lot, almost right in front of the door of the “Happy”. The prefabricated conservatory was lonely, and even when entering the actual restaurant there were only two young ladies in the background who did not make institutions to take care of me. Therefore, I had the impression that the lunchtime was already over and wanted to go when an older Asian came to me from the background of the room and told me that I could choose a table. Immediately, she gave me the menu and asked for my drink request. I ordered a small special, which she then mixed together in the background at the counter and served immediately. In the meantime, I had chosen something from the lunch card and ordered: “Huhn with 8 ingredients and garlic” (6,00 €). The service thanked and disappeared in the kitchen. Nothing happened to that for a while, I only heard the conversation of the two young ladies in the background. The decor of the place is quite bright and friendly, on a bright laminate floor stood furniture made of dark wood, the tables were covered with white fabric tablecloths and ceilings. On the tables were a candle in the porcelain lamp, a beer lid holder and a memento with salt, pepper, soy sauce and Sambal Oelek. On the walls hung some pictures and framed mirrors, some decorative scarves of thin purple fabric were distributed in space. I had already wondered why the soup belonging to the lunch menu had not been served, which is usually in stock and kept warm. But then the kitchen door opened and the operation stacked several packed dishes on the vaults, whereupon the two young ladies paid and trolled with the stacks. Shortly afterwards, the service brought me the soup, apologised for the waiting period, it was so much to do and gave me the costs for my specific. The soup was the almost everywhere usual sour-sharf soup (Pekingsuppe, which was good hot, but a trace too sour. But with some soy sauce it was easy to compensate. The meat was finely crushed as usual, the vegetables with bite, all right. Shortly after I had eaten the soup, the soup saucer was removed. A little later, the operation first brought a rechaud with a plate on it and placed the cutlery wrapped in a napkin on my place. In the next course, she brought a bowl of rice and an oval dish with the meat and vegetables mixture. I filled rice and then meat and vegetables and started eating. As was not expected otherwise, the meat was tender, the various vegetables (paprika, zucchini, cabbage, onions, carrots, bean germs crunchy fresh and all nicely hot. Nothing unusual, but a solid performance with good taste, and that at this price! Conclusion: Nice Chinese restaurant with delicious food at reasonable prices – actually incomprehensible why the lunch table is not better accepted.
