Simple yet so good. I can definitely taste the difference in their fish here vs other Japanese sushi places. The ambience is not fancy, it’s casual and relaxing and the food was so good. I had their sashimi and sushi combo platter plus the steamed egg. Everything was perfection. Will def come back again
Best sashimi I’ve ever had. Wonderful, friendly service. This is worth the trip to Port Washington area if you’re staying in the NYC area. It’s right off the LIRR so it’s walkable from the train station.
The sushi here is of excellent quality, while the hot dishes are just average. As for the service, they do accept reservations, but more often than not, the tables are not ready at the reserved time.
By far the best traditional Japanese spot in the area. Excellent service, tasty food. We usually get sushi but today ordered fried oysters and fried tempera to start with. Highly recommended. Réservez une table maintenant
We visited this restaurant for a birthday dinner a couple of years ago, and the experience was fantastic. The service and food were both exceptional, and our waiter was very friendly.
Ordered omakase of sushi and sashimi tonight. Everything was good except sea urchin tasted terribly. We love sea urchin but it must be very fresh for sashimi use. Won't come back.
They treat you like family here. Very intimate environment with a wide range of dishes. Have not found a Japanese restaurant that matches the experience I?ve had here.
Yamaguchi is by far the best Japanese restaurant on Long Island. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. Highly recommended! Réservez une table maintenant
