Me and my Tracy went to this lovely place on Friday night , we have been before and the food is always top notch and we weren’t disappointed at all. They had a very busy birthday party in the big room but still managed to keep the service at a great level , their service team is really good , polite , helpful and happy. I alway believe that teams reflect their leaders and so with Trevor Nat leading the team you can see why it’s so friendly and proud I don’t eat meat so this place is perfect for me as the fish is always great quality . I had the Dover Sole and it was so tasty with the smoked salmon flakes …. We had a great night and would recommend it to anyone everyone ….. thanks, Jack
First time I visited this place and I was completely shocked by the appearance from the outside it looks like a quaint oldy worldy little old fashioned pub which I love! Inside I was just overwhelmed it is beautiful little rooms feeding through and from one another. There were 12 of us celebrating a birthday and we were seated in a room with just another two tables it was lovely felt very private which is good with a 4 year old he cudn bother other diners and as it was late he could sit down on floor and play on his Ipad instead of being propped up the table. This place is amazing and I will be back as I want to try the Sunday lunch and the physic evening : D
Great setting. Good service Went for afternoon tea. Wow...it was amazing Soooo much food and great range of different sandwichs not just the little ones you get some places with the crusts gone, but wraps, sandwichs, chiabatta, bagels even! Then a great selection of delicious savory bites- quiche, scotch eggs with a twist, mini yorkies, prawns, olives, yum. And then great selection of cakes and scones too! Just amazing value for money and loved the old building very quirky. Highly recommend
We just had a wonderful meal for Father's Day here! What can we say? The food was amazing, and we can't emphasize that enough! The staff was not only polite but also very attentive. They made sure to accommodate our child in a wheelchair and even offered to reserve the same table for us next time since it was very convenient for our child's needs. I had a lovely Sunday dinner here today. My daughter, who is tube-fed, needed a meal prepared for later, and the staff were incredibly accommodating. They offered to mix her food for us if she wanted to eat while we were there. The staff were friendly and always available when we needed assistance. The food was freshly made and served hot. We will definitely be back soon. Many thanks to everyone!
A great experience with old world charm. Really quirky building with a lot of history. Staff are lovely, helpful and very efficient. Menu gives a great range of options at various prices, including a specials board. Special events are held, but booking well in advance is essential. Special deals also available at certain times. Parking can be an issue when busy. All in all perfect.
Both went for the vegetarian options, plenty of choice for starters and main courses. The flavours added to the whole experience and the portions were more than enough and my wife had to have her left overs wrapped as she was unable to finish either course. We had our annual New Years Eve meal with our mothers as this is the place we all love to go to celebrate. Been going for many years now and always found it friendly and cosy and the food is beautiful.
