Ye Olde English Fish Chips

we ordered the shrimp platters. I would say approximately 10 shrimp, and a small handful of fries. No complaints on the taste. The portions were small for the price. Almost 45 bucks for maybe 10 shrimp and maybe 3 cups of fries. Just seemed a little over priced for the atmosphere that was provided as well. Service was fine. But again, just if you're looking for a place to do you could only spend maybe 10 or 12 bucks more you'll probably go to a more eloquent establishment.

New to northern RI and wanted fish and chips. Saw this place has been around for a century and in spite of mixed reviews gave it a chance. Well I should have believed the one star reviews! First, ordered a clam strip roll got a dinner instead. Fish and chips came with no Cole slaw& no tartar sauce even though I ordered extra tartar sauce. Food was of poor quality. Future customers find some other place to spend your hard earned money

I always enjoyed coming here throughout the year's living in Rhode Island, great service always. The seafood chowder has always been my favorite still to this day but the fish and chips aren't what they used to be unfortunately, I feel like there is more batter than fish. I hope they can prepare it how they used too. Service: Take out Meal type: Lunch

i have been going here and getting fish cakes with my parents since i was 9 years old and still go there just to get their famous fish cakes. the best i ever eaten and the best food ever. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100
