Fantastic!! New to the area and learned about Yhanne's in my neighborhood Facebook group and so many people recommended this place for cheesecake so I tried it for my son's 21st birthday. He loved it, we all did! Since it was such a hit for his birthday I got one for Thanksgiving. I forgot to order in advance and arrived on Wednesday morning (the day before Thanksgiving) to a line out the door. We took her to the animal hospital, and after spending thousands of dollars, the vet told us that Astro's liver was failing due to the Xylitol she had ingested. The vet even called the bakery to confirm the ingredients. They explained that Xylitol is the one poison that dogs cannot recover from. We sadly had to say goodbye to Astro, as the vet advised euthanasia to end her suffering. Our family is devastated. Astro was not yet two years old, vibrant and healthy, and her life was cut short by just a few bites of cheesecake. If this could happen to Astro, it could happen to any dog.
Nothing can bring her back, and I have no way of knowing if other dogs have suffered the same fate due to this...
My husband picked up one of these cheesecakes for our son's birthday. It was AMAZINGLY delicious. Just the right amount of tart and sweet, creamy and tender. He commented to me that everyone there was extremely courteous and helpful. We will be going back tomorrow to pick up a cake for my co-worker's birthday, plus a sugar-free small cheesecake for us to have at home. It's difficult to find low/no sugar goods made with such skill.
