My family and I spent a night in St John NB and decided to eat in this restaurant, the food was great! There was only one waitress/bus boy/hoss/bender work (Elise). She did everything when they were obviously brief. She didn't skip a beat and made it all with a contagious smile on her face. In addition, one of their regular customers has surprisingly paid for our entire meal! What a great night! I usually don't give a variety of reviews, but felt that Elise really deserves to be recognized. I would also like to thank the wonderful, friendly Lord and his wife who paid for our meal. Bless her wonderful hearts! Love this eastern coast hospitality. Will definitely visit again!!
From the children's menu everything was great. Especially Mac and Cheese! From the adult version we liked the chicken and veggies soup and the hanger steak is amazing. The scallops I wasn't a fan, and the starter clams are just fine. If they are hot and are not fishy, they are ingenious, but as soon as they have brought them out cold and sometimes I really get ocean tasting. But the hanger Steak and Mac and cheese make for everyone especially paired with their great service.
The hours on Google are incorrect they open at 5 on Saturdays. The phone number listed for the business is out of service. All that to say I'm disappointed I didn't get their perogies. It's quite a nice dish. Update December 2022 the menu has been updated with fewer options. The perogies have gone the way of the buffalo. Probably the best nachos in Saint John.
My family always stays at the Hilton in St. John and this place is one of the main reasons. The food is always fantastic and when you meet breakfast or lunch buffet, you bring pants that trust me. The staff is always fantastic and always makes us welcome and reminds us after almost a year this is a 5-star place in my opinion.
