We booked for a Sunday lunch but was informed that they had problems with the ban Marie so it would not be a carvery but served at the table, that was no problem I said, however that was as good as it gets! The vegetables were boiled to death and the sprouts which were obviously frozen had all the colour and taste boiled out of them, I asked why there was no cheese sauce for the cauliflower but was told it’s to expensive to make, but the price was the same as before when it was on the menu overall the meal was of really poor quality the roast potatoes were cold and hard, the mash was Luke warm and the Yorkshire pudding was also cold. We visited for the first time as part of a group for a birthday party. We chose the two for one steak meal special, including a bottle of wine. The owners Jill and Antonio were very friendly and attentive. The meal was delicious and the menu had lots of choices. We started with home made soup, followed by a generous helping of steak, chips, coleslaw and onion rings, cooked to our liking, plus a bottle of red wine. Also on offer were a choice of two main meals for 10€, which looked yummy! We will definitely return to try this. Jill and Antonio offer a carvery on Sundays for 7.50€, a bargain price! We can’t wait to visit this little gem again and would highly recommend.
We stayed in the village for a few days, and visited here everyday. The owner Jill worked extremely hard, along with Antonio and the chef. The atmosphere was great, the food was superb and locals made us all feel very welcome. They have all sorts of events and special menu/ deals on certain days going on throughout the week. I would definitely be going back there! Thank you Jill! Tough times for any business in the world at the moment, but these guys have had it tough and all still serve you with a smile.
Hard industry to be in been there done it . But must say as a family we have visited these guys 2 times now and unfortunately the Sunday lunch each time as been awful . I'm not too sure as to wether it's because we have been nearer the end of the service but the food was so dry and definitely had been stood for most of the afternoon. Such a shame but will not be visiting The Yorkshire Pud again Réservez une table maintenant
Made very welcome by the owner, Jill. Food was superb, we had the two courses, all expertly cooked, and extremely tasty. Jill was very friendly and knowledgeable and shared her local knowledge and Spanish. Curry was very tasty, with tender meat. Sweet potatoes croquettes were superb. Great value specials. Cant recommended this place enough.
