I spent $60 at this restaurant last weekend and was pleasantly surprised to receive two extra portions of teriyaki with a smile. However, during my previous visit, I only spent $30 and had to pay extra for the teriyaki. To make matters worse, they couldn't follow a simple request: I ordered the XL combo with brown rice, which is clearly listed on the menu. It seems like following instructions is a challenge for the staff. They also charge extra for condiments and still got my order wrong. This experience has reinforced why I usually avoid this place in favor of my regular spot, which isn’t Yoshinoya.
I had a standard experience at Yoshinoya, which is typically what I expect from this chain. However, I arrived at around 10:00 PM on a Friday night and encountered a rather unprofessional night shift staff, who gave off a frustrating vibe. Additionally, while the restaurant is supposed to close at 11:00 PM, the drive-thru stopped serving customers at 10:30 PM, which was disappointing. I spoke to the manager, Iris, who promised to address the issue with the night staff about closing early. Unfortunately, there was no apology for the lack of fresh food, especially given the unsatisfactory service.
Allways disappointmenting this yoshinoya, very very poor portions and looks used chicken is only legs, is not worth pay 11.14 for a combo bowl.with soda. Portions of rice and meat have been decreasing so is not worth to eat in this Yoshinoya. I update with a chiken chiken combo in second picture from Downey and you will see the big difference I just discovered why people still coming to eat here and is because they got cupons Parts of the chiken are raw!!!
I found some really great deals on food here. The chicken and the ribs are consistently fresh. However, I did have a minor issue with the rice—it was overcooked and a bit hard. Update: I was overcharged for my order, and I only realized it after leaving the drive-thru. They prepared my order correctly, but mistakenly charged me for someone else's order.

I can't believe this is Yoshinoya! Portions were really bad. Good thing I asked for extra teriyaki sauce on everything. Made it look full, somewhat. Ice machine for fountain drinks was out of service. The music is blasting in the lobby, made it hard to have a conversation and enjoy my meal. Not that great, like most Yoshinoya restaurants.
The service was exceptional, and I truly valued the personal interaction. Unlike some establishments where AI has taken over, this restaurant has maintained a warm, human touch!
The portion size of the food is not 50% larger than the Large combo as advertised. There's no actual increase in portion size; the only difference is the price.
The restaurant experience was disappointing, and the customer service was subpar. We won't be returning, as the cooking and food did not meet our expectations.
