You Japanese Restaurant

Our expectations were high when we read the previous reviews. When we arrived, the menu and specials of the day further raised our hopes. And we were not disappointed when the food arrived. Authentic fresh Japanese food right here in Surfers...authentic down to the beverages!Sashimi was fresh and thick cut. Prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity. Their fried items (Spider Handroll) came piping hot from the kitchen. This family restaurant hails from Osaka, and so we had to order the gyozas...and it was amazing. It still had the "juices" from the fillings inside the gyoza, which is not an everyday occurence!Service was friendly and efficient as well.We'd definitely recommend...

We went there because of the excellent reviews, but what a disappointment! The food is so average and bit pricy consider the quality. Ordered the sashimi plate, nothing special, common fish with thin cut, just like the slice you can get from any sushi train place. The rest are pretty ordinary as well, no wow factor as others describe. Probably won't go back again.The service is good, but I am more into food, that's why it's a fail for me.

Feel like you are actually in Japan at this fantastic family owned, family operated Japanese restaurant in downtown Surfers Paradise. This is not a Tourist style restaurant but rather, a dining experience you would expect in downtown Japan. Outstanding and authentic Japanese cuisine from a significantly broad menu. A fabulous experience here every time I visit. Fantastic service and fantastic food every time ! Highly recommended.

We've been coming to this restaurant for over 20 years .This is one of Gold Coast's little hidden gems, a family owned restaurant, so you're made feel always welcome.Food is always prepared fresh and with love from head chef, and is always superb. Prices are very reasonable and makes a great casual family restaurant.Will come here for years to come- Innocenti family Réservez une table maintenant

We were happy to hear Japanese being spoken by quite a few customers here. The service was fast and pleasant and the food was delicious. Sashimi was beautiful and fresh and the sukiyaki was great too. Portions were on the small side, although the quality was quite evident. We would be very happy to return.

Our family love this restaurant. The sashimi is amazing, and so are the grilled, boiled and stir fried dishes:) The waiters are fast and friendly and the Sake (cold or hot depending on your preference). I'm hungry just thinking about it.

My wife and I went to You Japanese restaurant our first night in Surfers Paradise. We probably will go back again. We are from Seattle and have many good Japanese restaurants. This ranks high and the prices were very reasonable.

We've been coming to this restaurant for as long as exists, which is at least 20 years, and is Gold Coast best kept little secrets, is very good fresh and very genuine Japanese food, I give it 10 out of ten always ???????? Réservez une table maintenant

The food here was great. I'm Japanese and for those who know the real Japanese taste, it's a must try place. It's Japan quality! Great food and great service. Highly recommended to the Japanese lovers!

Everything here was great. Waiter was very helpful guiding us around Japanese cuisine choices and Sake choices. Food was amazing. Prices very reasonable. Highly recommend.
