Zagol Ethiopian - Réservation de table

We spent about 2.5 hours in this restaurant from walking in to leaving. Not because we wanted to but rather everything took so long. We sat and ordered 2 beers which were given to us but not opened until we asked later on. We put a simple food order in for 2 and it took over an hour to get it. We asked for an eta on the food about 45 min after ordering. The waitress told us they are very busy. Taking a look around the restaurant, it did not seem so at the moment. They had some people in there but not an amount that would make you wait this long. After receiving the food and being about half way done with our food we asked for more injera and sat there waiting for the injera about 30 min. It...

The owners here are so sweet so I hate to give them a poor review because they were just so kind but what I chose was not good. I should have gone with a vegetarian choice cuz the meat was really fatty and so spicy. I couldn't stomach it and I got a stomach ache afterwards but that's probably no fault of their own. I didn't like that egg in the middle but I bet it's really popular and most people love it but I didn't. Not really my cup of tea but sweet couple running the place.

Service was not great at first but things changed. The food was amazing. Spacious with cultural decor to keep the mood right. We tried one of the fish dishes along with the veggie combo and it was my first time having crispy on the outside, juicy in the inside marinated fish. We were talking about the fish the entire night. The teje was a different type of wine that resonates still. Planning on coming back here again!

This will always be one of my favorite Ethiopian restaurants! We always go there in big-ish groups and we usually order multiples of the vegetarian combo. It comes in a large plate with everyone eating together and that’s the best part of it. The food is very flavorful and the portion size is great! I like the special tea here. Worth visiting! Everything is good here. The lentils are amazing as it's full of flavor. We usually get the mixed platter with a little bit of everyth, served on top of a giant injera bread. The coffee service is terrific as well.

Best Authentic Ethiopian Food in Seattle. The Veggie Combo is very good. Wish the ambience would have been better. Will definitely visit again!
